So what you're saying is we should stop saying they're screen accurate if we're referring to the Rogue One TK? It's obvious they're screen accurate from the Rogue One standpoint correct? It's a given that they're not to the OT TK. I don't know I'm just having a little fun here since there's so many panties in a bunch over this.

(Cheap) Helmet mods
ukswrath replied to The Anonymous Egyptian's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
Hey! By the time I was 16 I'd already bought a moped, a car, surfboard and all the accessories, skateboard and all the accessories, a dirt bike and a shot gun. All while living with a single mother raising 3 kids. Not to brag, but it's doable. edit: I'm not saying to buy my stuff, there's plenty of choices. -
yea, no lol

Be nice! edit: Please -
Yea got a look at the pics, work on the strapping like you said, make sure the sections are aligned, cover strip forward and parallel with each other. With Photobucket use the "Direct" option and post here

Hey Sean I'd say at this point make sure you back to kidney plate is secure. If the thighs contact the cod from time to time it's not a bad thing however, you can always trim the things if you need to, just follow the contour of the cod if you choose to do so to ensure the area looks uniform.

ah hahaha Just double check, do a tape fitment, unless you feel its good already in that case go with it.

When you say bragging you mean advertising. I agree regarding the NDA but it is what it is. -
Anovos and RS side by side.
ukswrath replied to TK bondservnt's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I'm suppose someone is hard at work prepping a high quality side by side for everyone to speculate more, or this will be the longest go nowhere thread in history. -
In the movie it was more like 5-6 however, perform a fitment test to see how the back and chest plates come together and how much room is between them then go from there. If you have broad deep shoulders you may have to go with 4-5 or less.

Dave don't go hacking your strips unless your confident in what your doing, As long as they're trimmed clean and relatively close to what you see above you'll be fine at all 3 levels.

Not to say is so, but why is it so hard to believe that maybe, just maybe Anovos is bound to a contract to NOT disclose their source or exactly how they obtained their specs. Why does everything have to be a conspiracy? Heck I'm still bound to a similar contract with my FOTK. I get builders and armors asking to use my build pictures all the time, guess what I have to say, No sorry. This thread is like a growing lynch mob. Kind of reminds me of another thread. Well I always recommend comfort over everything else. If you think you'll be trooping in warm climate go with a cooling system. -

TK-81890 Requesting ANH Stunt EIB Status [AM2.0][569]
ukswrath replied to kkpham72's topic in Request Expert Infantry Status
Hey Kelvin, thank you for your patience and EIB application. We also want to thank you for making the suggested adjustments, updating or adding required images. Let's get to it shall we. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All requested photos are present and your armor meets all the requirements set out for EIB. Sly and myself would like to congratulate you on achieving Expert Infantry rank!! Great job trooper Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we discuss observations made by your fellow troopers as well as our own. Though the suggestions are to make you look your best none of the following suggestions will effect your EIB application. 1) We would like to see you either bring your thighs up, shins down or both to reduce sniper knee to thigh overlap. Some is ok but yours are a bit excessive. Could be a simple shin adjustment Reference photo 2) Frown ends. Though not critical they should come to a point at the ends. This one looks squared off. Quick and simple Reference photo Centurion suggestions: In this section we try to prepare you for Centurion. Sly, myself or your fellow brothers may suggest areas needing improvement. We have a few areas we would like to see addressed if you choose to shoot for Centurion. 1) According to the CRL the forearms are to have no return edge. You'll need to remove all the return edge in the illustrated locations For level three certification (if applicable): No return edge on the inside of the front of the forearm is allowed. Reference photo Just a few adjustments and we'll see you at Centurion. Again, Great job! -

Starfox2010's TFA Stormtrooper Build
ukswrath replied to Starfox2010's topic in Build Threads Requireing Maintenance
oooooooh so exciting! -
Trying to be optimistic here however, I predict within the next few years the market will be flooded with so many new costumes (ex. new variations of TKs), and if none of these new movies use the existing OT TK designs they will then become artifacts of the past. If your an serious armorer and not taking this into consideration you may find yourself only making armor for collectors or the few remaining diehards. Times are changing rapidly.

Hey Sean, yes however, before you go doing so can you post some pictures for us. We want to give you the best advice.

Hey Jay, the cycle is now complete. You and I met for the first time almost exactly a year ago to the day at SW Celebration Anaheim. We started off comparing buckets and now I'm approving your Centurion app, what a journey it has been for the both of us. Thank you for making the requested updates and for your Centurion application brother. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Your armor contains all necessary elements to qualify you for Centurion. It is our joy and pleasure to welcome you to Centurion. Well done trooper Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: If there was anything I would add would be to shorten the shoulder bell straps bring them in even tighter to your chest and shoulder covers. Tighten the butt to kidney straps so that the butt stays under the kidney. I've seen your armor in person so I know it can fit correctly, for some reason this little discrepancy still tends to creep up. And lastly would be to straighten the TD clip bends a bit (on the belt side), they're a little bend heavy. Beautiful job or your build my friend. Centurion suits you very well. Congratulations
