  1. HAHA you can blame Anovos for that however, I do have a rebuild of the helmet, almost as good a s build minus the initial trimming. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/?p=475530
  2. No problem. It's pretty much the same with the exception you won't be dealing with item location numbers and such. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G935A using Tapatalk
  3. Hey Bob thank you for your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have now been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for EIB. Congratulations and welcome to Expert Infantry trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section, Myself and Sly review suggestions made by your fellow troopers and/or our own observations. All go towards improving the final look of your armor. If there is anything that would affect a future Centurion application it will be mentioned in that section. May we suggest, if possible reduce the shoulder bell to chest gap, it could just be a picture thing as someone mentioned. Reference picture Centurion Suggestions: The ultimate accuracy of Centurion is up to the Trooper. As you may already know you armor is made of overlap construction. For Centurion it is required to be butt and strip. Thigh Armor, lower legs and arms: For level three certification (if applicable): Thighs are constructed using the butt joint and cover strip method. Overlap construction is not allowed. Though disassembling your armor to make it L3 approved is not an impossible task (I've done it), it is quite difficult and you run the risk of permanently damaging your armor. If you choose to embark on this endeavor please let us know and help you as much as possible. You have a beautiful set of armor there trooper , time to get out there and make the empire proud.
  4. My pleasure Stuart and a BIG congratulations, welcome to the 501st
  5. HAHA awesome. Proved me wrong hahahaha
  6. Nope none jk. Unfortunately none of the cut off scrap from the initial trimming deemed worthy to use as hooks so yes I have ample piles of scrap plastic lying around from other builds. If this were an actual requirement Anovos would have supplied it
  7. Always nice to see another detailed build thread.
  8. Thank you for adding the pictures Bob one last thing, please add your 501st profile link to the top of the page. Thanks again
  9. Awesome link Kev. I missed this thread altogether. Very cool
  10. Bicep hook install is up. Scroll to the middle of the section http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/?p=464978
  11. Thanks Charles
  12. I'm sorry I don't have those specifications. Maybe someone more knowledgeable will see this post and add it.
  13. Tips? Screen material? or both?
  14. Yea the tip should be the same Hovi tip used on your helmet. You can either buy the whole tip assembly from someone or make your own. The mesh can be made from flour sifter screen if you want to save some $$. Just go to a dollar store if you have one near buy, pick up a sifter and cut out the screen.
  15. 1) May I suggest fabric foam, stuff that may not be as harmful to your body 2) More power to you. That's what it's all about. If you can hand craft it yourself, go for it. 3) There's nothing about the armor itself that will keep it from L3. Build it correctly and follow the many build threads where the armor has been approved at L3 and you're golden. 4) Mesh for what? 5) Bubble lens, not even for basic "Stunt" Helmet For 501st approval: Lenses are flat material, green in color, sufficiently dark enough to obscure the costumer's eyes. Hope this helps
  16. Haha thanks Jamie, but there's quite a few knowledgeable builders and mfgs here on the FISD. Credit goes to everyone.
  17. Well for starters your thighs are installed incorrectly, the longest seam should be facing forward, but that's just an adjustment. You have the perfect frame for this suit of armor. There are many build threads available for you to follow. Things to keep in mind: Follow sucessful guidelines (build threads) Give yourself some room between you and the armor You can only trim the armor down so far, you may have to add foam to align or support Ask questions Cheers
  18. The armor (plastic) will be fine, any bolts or rivets not made of stainless may start corroding over time, a long time. I would be more concerned with hypothermia. Then again the armor makes a great thermal blanket as long as it's not too windy. Have fun
  19. Alright, I'll do it in the AM tomorrow. I'll let everyone know when it's up. Edit: For the record, this is NOT a requirement
