  1. Mine is dark green heavy nylon
  2. Hey Luke, 3/16" posts are fine with the Fasnap however, the catch is you have to buy a minimum $50 which leaves you buying doubles of almost everything. The good news is you'll use them in the future, trust me. Not to mention they're high grade snaps. I run one snap per single connection point. A lot of others run two. With high grade snaps you won't need two. Tandy length is preset in the pack so you're good to go with the link provided. Suggestion, trim the cover strip so that it doesn't extend past the armor then remove all the return edge in that area. If you're shooting for EIB and Centurion apply and pass those apps first if possible before making any huge trimming cuts. Great job btw.
  3. Remove as much as you need to
  4. Definitely not required
  5. In my build I discuss trimming the return edge facing the front to closely match that of the 15mm cover strip. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/?p=45885, That said, some will have arms that are too large even for those specs. If so you may need to remove less so that you can get your arm in and out. Your best bet is to post a pic here with the armor taped around your arm, as seen here. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/?p=461326 Afterwards we'll have a better idea of what your dealing with.
  6. Welcome Chris. Glad to be of assistance
  7. My pleasure. More than just myself has contributed to this tread. We're all about troopers helping troopers here on whitearmor. A huge thumbs up to all those have offered their time and talent to helping others.
  8. Looking forward to your Deathtroper also, any updates on this by chance, no pressure lol
  9. 1/2" clearance minimum between you and the armor is a nice gauge. Not all areas will allow for this clearance, some will have more, some less.
  10. Hi Tom, thank you for your EI application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry, congratulations trooper and welcome. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by us and your fellow troopers. Any suggestions we make is to increase the overall look of your armor, though none of these will effect your EIB status. We have a few items to talk about here so let's start from the top. Keep in mind the accuracy of your armor and any suggested repairs are ultimately up to you. 1) Left shoulder bell gap. The gap between the left bell and the cover strip is greater than the right side. We generally like to see little to no gap, equally on both sides. It may be as simple as picture issue. Reference image 2) There should be little to no gap between the back and kidney plates. Adjusting the connecting strap should resolve this issue. Reference photo 3. Left forearm lower than the right. There's a pretty significant gap between the forearm and the bicep. A simple connecting strap adjustment should fix this. If you don't have any this would be a great time to add them. 4. There appears to be some damage to your ab button plates. Maybe applying polishing compound to these areas can smooth them out. 5. Biceps very large. During assembly there should have been more material removed here. They should be more circular. Unfortunately this is may be a big repair, basically disassembling and reassembling the forearms. Reference pic 6. Posterior bunched up in the back. The posterior should reside below the kidney plate. Adjusting the connecting straps should resolve this issue. Reference picture 7. Calf cover strips appear to be very large. Though not as critical as the forearms the cover strips at the calf should be around 25mm wide. They appear to be much larger. We suggest you trim them down if they're larger than 27mm. Reference pic Centurion Suggestions: In this section Sly or myself may suggest recommended or required repairs prior applying for the Centurion level. Again, the accuracy it is ultimately up to the trooper. The only issue we have is the Drop box positioning. As per the CRL for level 3: Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. Your will need to be repositioned. The ost common fix for this is to glue the drop box strap to the canvas belt it self. Reference image. Though an odd image to compare your situation to but even as Han is bent over his drop boxes remain aligned. And finally, the CRL states For level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. The fix could be a simple as a strapping adjustment. Shouldn't be too difficult. Reference photo There you have it. A few fixes and we hope to see you at Centurion. Excellent work,
  11. Let me know what you come up with or if you get in a bind.
  12. Awesome. You're running the SHA off the 12v circuit correct? If so you shouldn't have any noise other than the mic pickup.
  13. Hey Bill, drop the right side a bit and raise the left. It doesn't have to be perfectly straight. Take a look at these AP Centurions. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35310-tk-11075-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-ap-214/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32965-tk-88118-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-ap191/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/34913-tk42200-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-ap-210/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/33077-tk-74614-requesting-anh-stunt-centurion-status-ap193/
  14. Ohhh Yeaaa!
  15. I'd have to go back through your build but I don't recall seeing anything that would prevent you earning your EIB badge. Take a look at the EIB and Centurion submission threads and follow their lead.
  16. Thanks Tom we'll be with your shortly
  17. Very nice
  18. hahaha if you're like me you find ways to improve on something
  19. You're right, then he gets to visit me at the EIB and Centurion fun fest ah hahahahahahaha Just messing wit ya Tom
  20. Possible too Good to see you Russell
  21. Hey Christian thank you for your application, lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Very nice job on your build trooper. Without further delay, your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by us and your fellow troopers. Suggestions made here are to improve the overall look of your armor though will not effect your EIB application. We have a couple minor suggestions. The shoulder bell to cover gap could stand to be reduced a bit. The lower bell gap looks excellent. Reference photo The V coder lines on your helmet can be cleaned up a bit, they're a bit undefined. Reference photo Though not bad, the kidney to ab gap can be reduced a bit also. Tightening up the connecting straps should do the trick. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we try to point out all we can to make your armor as accurate as possible for a successful Centurion application. An area we noticed, that's no fault of yours, is the placement of the tear decals. Anovos obviously oops a bit on this. Your right side looks spot on but the left is way off. Our only suggestion would be to remove the paint on both the left and right sides and repaint them or use approved decals. Reference photo There you have it, a couple minor areas to address and you'll be ready for Centurion. You've done beautiful job on this armor, excellent work .
  22. That's the darnest thing. I've installed 100s of the snap plates with E6000 and have never had this issue. I wonder if it the snaps I use. I use either Fasnap or DOT.
  23. Hi Sebastian, thank you for your Centurion application. Thank you for making the requested repairs you've done a great job. Let's get you approved shall we. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All submission photos are present. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Centurion so congratulations Trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: . Nothing more to add. Welcome to the Centurion ranks
