  1. BBB days are the best. Looking forward to your build.
  2. Good question, it's leather and nylon. I personally would try E6000. Don't trim the nylon back, apply E6000 to the leather, lay the nylon stitching into the glue then cover with painters tape. Don't cover the area completely with tape as air is needed to cure the glue. Worth a shot.
  3. Tie it in a knot, if you can't, glue it.
  4. There's only an handful of sellers that have armor ready to go, the rest vetted or other, are many months out.
  5. Hey Tom, depends on what kit you're ordering. Who did you order from?
  6. Outstanding! Great job Jim
  7. Hi Steve, thank you for your patience and Centurion application. Let's get you approved. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present. Your armor meets the requirements for L3. Sly and self would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion ranks. Great job. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section Sly, myself and sometimes your peers will suggest corrections that will enhance the look and accuracy of your armor. None of these suggestions will effect your Centurion application but are recommended. We're suggesting you glue your drop box strap to the waist belt to help keep it aligned with the ammo belt. With the belt off they clearly move out of position. Your ab buttons are a bit large but not a deal breaker. And finally, we suggest you reposition your thighs higher, about 1" if possible, would solve a couple fitment issues we see. Excellent! job on your build. Congratulations
  8. Hey Joe, thank you for your Centurion application. Let's do this! None of these suggestions will effect your Centurion application but are highly recommended. It was mentioned during your EIB application you reposition your butt plate. It should not overlap your kidney. It could be a simple adjustment. Also mentioned, replace your Hovi tip screens, the mesh should be heavier as illustrated. There are couple tutorials on how to do this in build threads or the "HOW TO" section. May had mentioned your TD appears to be a bit long however, smaller diameter tubes generally appear that way. Without making you drag out a ruler we're just letting you know the maximum tube width is around 7-1/2". If it's over we suggest your remove your caps and trim the tube. We also want to thank you for updating your ab buttons BTW, great job. That's it brother, excellent job on your build and congratulations again.
  9. Hi Hunter, thank you for your patience and Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos are present. Your armor meets the requirements for L3. Sly and self would like to congratulate and welcome you to the Centurion ranks. Great job. Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we would have made and additional suggestions that would enhance the look of your armor. To answer your question the TD clip length was a suggestion not a requirement Excellent! job on your build. Congratulations again.
  10. Hey Brian, since most of us are new to this particular armor type maybe you could post some images giving us an idea of what you concern is.
  11. Excellent and thank you, we'll be with you shortly
  12. Thanks for the kudos Bill. Glad to be of assistance
  13. Hey Kenneth, that should work though I'm surprised the TD isn't scaled down already.
  14. Easy enough. Remove the caps and Philips head clip screws, install the ear screws, maybe some flat washers on the inside of the tube if necessary, add a dab of E6000 on the threads to keep the nuts from loosening over time, paint and you're set.
  15. Hey Tom, I'm assuming the TD end caps are glued, E6000 or CA?
  16. Hey Molly looking forward to your build. If you haven't done so already take a look at Ingrids Phasma build http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/32972-ladyinwhite-phasma-build/
  17. Hey Steve thank you for your Centurion application. Before we get started please post the following pictures. An unobstructed view of the kidney/ab rivets (exterior) and forearms (wrist side). Thanks brother
  18. Hey Joe before we get started with your application we're requesting you glue the flexible hand guards to your rubber gloves as May has mentioned. Once you've finished this please post another picture showing them connected. Thanks brother For level three certification (if applicable): Hand guards shall be latex or latex-like, painted white, affixed to rubber gloves in lieu of plastic hand guards.
  19. No they are not required for EIB, only Centurion L3. In my build tutorial I suggested since neither the ear screws or the TD screws are correct for L3 people should replace them. The ear screws are remarkably close to accurate and will work for the TD, which leaves you only needing to buy ear screws which should be "V" head and slotted. There are a couple sellers here on the FISD if you're interested. The frown extension looks great, just be sure to clean up around the teeth. Keep up the great work.
  20. Great job Tom. The TD screws are to be pan head and slotted
  21. Try cutting image size in half Nice job on the eyes and frown.
  22. I believe this is what you're referring to Andrew ------------ US buyers you can pick up all the same components from Colemans Military surplus for under $100, and save on the shipping Frame Scotty mentioned - https://colemans.com/shop/pouches-bags/swedish-military-backpack-with-frame/
  23. For the magic trick to work it would require actually having an item in hand to measure, and as stated I just ordered it. Until then it's "guess" work not magic
