  1. I would say no. This is the Rouge One helmet and there's no 501st approved armor to go with it.
  2. Hey Scott first off welcome to the FISD. As Ted mention there is a grappling hook visible however, though there's no TD shown in this seen it is a required part of the armor as a whole IF you do not have the grappling hook installed. Hope that makes sense.
  3. Regarding the seam we thought the same though we left how exactly you wanted to do that up to you. Congrats again Ruben
  4. Hey Ruben welcome. Thank you for your EI application. Lets get started. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All submission photos have been posted. Your armor displays all the necessary elements to qualify for Expert Infantry. Welcome trooper! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We have a couple areas we'd like to mention. We have a few areas to mention here starting at the top with your shoulder bells. 1) We generally like to see little gap between the bells and chest plate if possible. Tightening up the bell to shoulder straps and maybe removing some lower bell return edge should bring them closer to the chest. We've provided reference photos for you to compare to. Ultimately the accuracy is up to the trooper. Reference photo 2) Your arm armor is twisted outward. the front cover strips are to be facing forward with your arms down. A simple fitment or strapping adjustment should do the trick. Reference photo 3) There should be little gap between the bicep and forearms. Again, a simple fitment or strapping adjustment may help. Reference photo 4) There should be little to no gap between your back and kidney plate. Yours is not bad however, since we on the improvement topic thought we'd mention it. Reference photo 5) TD face plate looks loose. It maybe a photo issue but it looks like the TD face plate has a significant gap between it and the tube. We'd hate to see it fall off or get snagged on something. Also, the clip screws are to be pan head slot screws and painted black. Reference photo 6) Ab button paint out line could use a little touch up. If you're like me I don't have the steadiest of hands but I always say practice makes perfect. We would like to see the lines be a little cleaner/uniform if possible. Reference photo 7) We're also recommending you make the area near the Cod a bit more rounded for accuracy and safety reasons. This area can be unforgiving if you make the wrong movement. Rounding this will help eliminate the concern. Reference photo 8) Your left thigh could use a little padding in the back just above the knee. This will pull the armor back eliminating the chance of the shin sniper knee digging into your knee cap. Centurion Suggestions: Because Centurion photos show much more detail than EIB, items pertaining to Centurion might be seen there and not here. We try to point out all we can from what is seen but the final accuracy is the responsibility of the trooper. This is also where we try and get you in the best possible position for a successful Centurion application. We have a couple areas that will need to be fixed if you choose to shoot for Centurion. 1) It is a requirement that your have 6 rivets on the left side if your kidney and Ab. These will need to be installed prior to your Centurion application if you choose to apply. Also, there can only be one seam line present. You will need to fill in the area indicated so it appears there is no seam. These requirements will not effect your EIB application. For level three certification (if applicable) A single visible seam line is present. Three rivets, approximately 5/16"(8mm) diameter, are present on the left side of the abdomen armor. Note: The original rivets used for the TK armor were bifurcated rivets or split rivets. Rivets are equally spaced along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. The heads are rounded or domed. Note: Paperclip brads are not considered to have a domed head. Rivets are painted white. A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate is present. A single split rivet or brad is present on the lower tab of the abdomen armor. Rivet does not need to be functional. Abdomen armor buttons are integrated and painted directly on the armor. No separate buttons are allowed. and For level three certification (if applicable): Three rivets, approximately 5/16"(8mm) diameter, are present on the left side of the kidney plate. Reference photo You have a little bit of work cut out for you but it's not too bad. Most if not all can be done in a weekend. Let us know if we can be of assistance and hope to see you at centurion.
  5. Keep up the good work Vince
  6. Very nice Justin, looking great.
  7. Also, you'll have to remove the vertical buttons being the TD uses a 3 button panel.
  8. If you're not looking for perfection use paintable silicone.
  9. Excellent! Thanks Dave. Sending PM
  10. Glad we could help. Congratulations again
  11. Thanks Dave please provide the following images also. Full body Front, Back, Left, Right with no armband insignia Left side kidney to Ab rivets (with armor on please) Forearms (wrist side) Thigh ammo belt connection to armor Bent hand guards
  12. Oops looks like your photos disappeared. We'll continue once you have all the required photos up.
  13. Thanks Dave we'll be with your shortly
  14. Hey Scott, thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Thank you for painting the TD screws as Sly suggested. As Chiba mentioned your sniper knee may be a bit on the low side but not enough to hold you back here. Excellent work trooper Your armor now contains all necessary elements to qualify you for Centurion. Sly and myself would like to welcome you, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: nothing to add
  15. Hey Sean, thank you for your Centurion application. CRL and Centurion Application Requirements: All required photos have been submitted. Thank you for making the adjustment as Sly had mentioned. Very nice job on your build trooper . Your armor contains all necessary elements to qualify you for Centurion. Sly and myself would like to welcome you, congratulations! Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: If we had anything to add here it would be to bring your waist belt up, as Andrew mentioned in your EIB app. It should reside just below the bottom edge of your ab buttons, as seen here in this reference photo. Great job and congratulations
  16. Hey Ken you're still missing a few photos, we need to see the following areas or items thanks: Exterior Cod and Posterior rivet and snaps Blaster "D" ring Neck seal Boots Thermal Detonator
  17. Hey Justin, I'm with the GGG also. With the exception of a couple suggestions you shouldn't have a problem with 501st basic. John B. and a couple others that work with him approving applicants are a great help. You're in good hands.
  18. Hey Justin, first of all great job on your build. Doing it solo can be very difficult but it's obvious you have a knack for this kind of stuff. As for approvals, 501st basic you'll be fine though your GML may or may not have improvement suggestions for you at that time. If you haven't done so already sign up with your local garrison, here's a list http://www.501st.com/members/displayUnits.php#garrisons. Once you're registered find out who your GML is and send them the following photos requesting 501st status - Using a blank background take Front, Back, Left, Right and Helmet off front, full armor views. Your GML may or may not request other photos. Once your armor has been approved and you have a TK#, if you're interested in achieving the higher levels of accuracy like Expert Infantry or Centurion I suggest you start reading here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/95-expert-infantryman-program/. When you think you're ready, start a new post requesting EIB here http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/forum/19-request-expert-infantryman-status/. We'll examine your armor and inform you on where to go from there. Hope this helps
  19. Waist belt, popper snaps or line 24 snaps. Either will work.
  20. Well since snaps are not movie accurate there is no set location however, a couple individuals have made illustrations of where they believe they would go, here's one.
  21. Machined aluminum, NICE!!!
  22. Chest and helmet are the last items to go on. I place the power pack in the chest area, run the cable up my neck seal, install the chest, connect the cable in the helmet, install the helmet. Ready to rock and roll.
  23. Contact Greg he may be able to help you out. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/user/23835-mitcheg1/
