  1. Alright Ric, thank you for your EIB application. Let's take a look. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: It appears all the required submission photos have been posted. Thank you for fixing your calf cover strips as requested. With that your armor displays and the required components for L2. Andrew and myself would like to welcome you to the rank of Expert Infantry . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. We'd like to start off with saying beautiful job on build, very nice work. . We have a few areas to talk about so let's get to it. Starting at the helmet, the eye sockets should have minimal return edge. We're suggesting you trim it back as shown in the reference photo. Reference photo Next up there should be minimal gap between the shoulder Bells and Chest & Back plates. We're requesting you tighten the upper and lower connecting straps. Reference photo As mentioned by your fellow troopers the shoulder cover appears to be missing elastic tie down on the left side, although it's not a required element until Centurion. Also, after looking at your latest photos we could help but notice your covers don't always extend over your back plate. You might want to consider shortening the Chest to Back plate strapping which will bring the two areas together as well as resolve the cover issue. Reference photo Back plate to kidney gap. There should be minimal gap here. Try tightening the connecting straps and close that gap a bit. Reference photo Moving on to the Ab section. The vertical Ab button plate has too much material extending outside the raised area beneath. It when it should be inside the raised area as seen in the reference photo. Reference photo Chest plate is above the top of the Ab plate instead over and in front of it. You will need to secure it down over the front. Reference photos Next up, not a huge deal but the poster should reside under the kidney. Reference photo Lastly, you thighs could stand to come up 1" or so, they're sitting a bit low. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have a few areas that will need to be resolved before applying for Centurion if you choose to do so. The only are of concern is the kidney extensions. The CRL states: Level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. If you ABS paste or similar the 2nd seam so that only one seam is visible you should have no issues at Centurion if you choose to apply. Reference photo That's it, congratulations again on your EI badge. Great job and hope to see you at Centurion.
  2. Hey Ryan, thank you for your EIB application. CRL and EIB Application Requirements: All the required submission photos have been posted. Very clean build, beautiful work . Your armor displays and the required components for L2. Andrew and myself would like to welcome you to Expert Infantry . Other-Armor Fit/Assembly: In this section we review observations made by your fellow troopers and ourselves. Some observations may lead to suggestions to improve the overall look of your armor. If any suggestion affects any application, it will be listed separately in the above or below sections. It's obvious you've done your homework, well done trooper We have a couple minor suggestions to mention here, first is your Hovi tips should be white on the inside. Reference photos Next up your waist belt is sitting a little lower than what we like to see, which is at or just below the lower Ab buttons. Reference photos And lastly the posterior plate should reside under your kidney. A simple strapping adjustment should do the trick. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions:In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We only have one area of concern and that's at Centurion the helmet tears and traps are to either painted or are decals that appear so. CRL: Level three certification (if applicable): Tears/traps shall be hand painted or use decals that emulate hand painted (with correct ANH TK details). Here's a couple reference photos. That's it, congratulations again on your EI badge. Great job and hope to see you at Centurion.
  3. Lookin good
  4. You can do it Art, we're all waving the checkered flag for you
  5. These will do thank you. No need to apologies for little photobombs either. Family first in my book.
  6. The iComms do make a little noise when not in use but usually not a constant ringing. It may be defective. I buy 100s of these for my customers and sometimes I get one that does this. Contact the seller?
  7. Still waiting for the TLJ Executioner helmet. Though I no longer need it being I have two others from other manufacturers I really want to see if they make it correctly. If not I guarantee it will become a very expensive football
  8. Also what kind of armor do you have? Supplier?
  9. Hey Shawn do you still have the same issue without the iComm?
  10. Hey Tony, Andrew or myself will be with you shortly.
  11. Hey Nick Andrew or myself will be with you shortly.
  12. It's not a requirement. As a matter of fact it will eventually be eliminated from the CRL. That said you can pick up something similar for most automotive stores.
  13. Hey Ric Andrew or myself will be with you shortly. While you waiting please post the following photos, thank you. Full left side (arms down) Full right side (arms down) Cod and posterior connections (exterior side)
  14. Hey Ryan, Andrew or myself will be with you shortly
  15. Hey Adrian, thanks for you patience and your EIB application. We'd like to start off with saying beautiful job on build, very nice work. . We have a few areas to go over here so let's get to it. Taking a look at your helmet first, the frown should extend to the end of the last teeth. We're suggesting you extend the paint as illustrated. Reference photo Next up there should be minimal gap between the shoulder Bells and Chest & Back plates. We're requesting you tighten the upper and lower connecting straps. Reference photos. Continuing downward it looks like the shoulder plates were applied too far down the chest plate or the chest plate connections themselves are too long. Also, the covers are cut too short in the back. There should be roughly 4 to 5 ribs on the Chest plate and at minimum some material extending past the last rib in the as seen in the reference photos. This isn't a deal breaker but if you look at some reference photos you'll understand what were talking about. Reference photos Back plate to kidney gap. There should be minimal gap here also. Try tightening the connecting straps and close that gap a bit. Reference photo Moving on to the Ab section. The vertical Ab button plate we feel has too much material. It's extending out side the raised area beneath it when it should be inside it. Reference photo Waist belt position. The top edge of the ammo belt should be at or just below the lower ab buttons as seen in the reference photo. It would look more correct if it was a bit higher. Reference photos Moving down further to the legs. Though it's acceptable for the sniper knee to be off center your's is a little too much we feel. It's placed too low on the left hand side, we're recommending you reposition it. Reference photos And lastly, now that 3D printed components are readily available we're starting to see more and more of these components come across our screens As convenient and inexpensive as they can be sometimes the lack of details and quality are a negative side effect. In your case the rear scope mount is supposed to be knurled, as illustrated in the following photo. In addition we're recommending cleaning up the lack any rough areas, example - near the "D" ring area is really rough looking and not very accurate. Reference photo Centurion Suggestions: In this section we prepare you for Centurion. If there were any areas of concern they would be discussed here. We have a few areas that will need to be resolved before applying for Centurion if you choose to do so. Starting with the helmet the tears and traps are to be hand painted or decals that look hand painted. CRL states: Level three certification (if applicable): Tears/traps shall be hand painted or use decals that emulate hand painted (with correct ANH TK details). Here's a couple reference photos. Next up there's to be minimal bag between the Ab and Kidney plates. You'll need to reduce the gap in this area. CRL states: Level three certification (if applicable): Ideally there no gap between the abdomen and kidney armor. Reference photo Waist belt drop box alignment. The drop boxes are to be aligned with the outer most edge of the ammo belt. Adjust these as needed. It's recommended gluing the drop box connecting strap to the cloth belt to prevent for moving around. CRL states: Level three certification (if applicable): Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt with minimal gap between belt and box. Reference photos And lastly overlap construction is not allowed at L3. The calves of your armor are assembled to over lap when it should be butt and joint. The best solution would be to remove the cover strip, trim the armor to fit then reinstall the cover strip so that only half is permanently fix, as seen in the following reference photos. CRL states: Level three certification (if applicable): Lower legs must be constructed using the butt joint and cover strip method. Overlap construction is not allowed. Reference photo Alright that's it, a little bit of work to do but it shouldn't take you too long. Congratulations again on your EI badge. Great job and hope to see you at Centurion. If you have any questions feel free to ask us or anyone here.
  16. Seen quite a few applicants use ABS paste here. As Frank said it's perfectly fine.
  17. That or trim the majority of it off to avowing accidental cracking
  18. There's no set standard of length or width however, when in doubt refer to reference photos and their placement in relation to the armor.
  19. Awesome, look at you
  20. Yea this is well know but somehow got overlooked. Easy fix
  21. Take a look a my previous statement "EDIT:"
  22. If you look closely it's a single cap rivet holding the left shoulder cover, similar to that on the right, but obviously the right side has a snap above the rivet. Edit: To be honest IMHO only I'm not exactly sure if those were actual shoulder cover/plates or replacements for the material that broke over time, but that's a different topic for another time.
  23. Hey Jeff I know you've been going with the canon look which is awesome, just wanted to make sure you knew the left side chest and back connecting strap is glued to the chest plate also, no snap.
