  1. Ok guys its making me upset I cannot post ANY pictures! I have tried with the above steps and I do not have the option to do step 4 in the posting pictures. Who's Idea was it to not allow a paste link in the message body?????? I think Keep It Simple Someone is how it should have stayed..........
  2. Definitely the way to go is AM. Lots of extra material and its .090" so good and thick! The other plus is the helmet is also proportion on the bigger side so you not trying to put on a disproportionate helmet compared to the rest of the kit!
  3. So any info on the "Plastic Filler"? It looks like a suitable seam filler.
  4. 2 pairs of large gloves and 2 pairs of size 9 U.S. Boots please!
  5. I have the AM kit and to get more "Accurate" went to a AP helmet, ATA Chest and Back Plates and now Laws forearms. Its good to have the extra material so you can trim down instead of adding to go up!
  6. I just looked at first available and then in that order for alternatives.......I'm just another TK......10114
  7. Lucas will put in a request for specific character(s) and when, what and where the event will be. When they do the Garrison CO will request submittals on the garrison forum that are pictures of the person in armor; front, left, right, back and action pose which helps followed by pictures of you in your under suit with shoes on and your info for height with and without helmet and weight to be sent to Lucas. Lucas will make their selection and then through the Garrison CO pass information on for the Lucas and Disney coordinator to those selected. Make sure you keep your CO updated and follow protocols since we are not representing the 501st but LFL/Disney.
  8. Attended: Michael Perkins-TK10114 Randy Specht-TK21029 Leonard Chamberlin-TK50421 (Liaison/Handler) This was an event that was part of the Lucas Films Limited/Disney casting calls from the 501st. They only needed two TKs and myself and Randy were chosen. This was Randy's first troop so no pressure at all! We arrived at 7am at the Newseum in downtown Washington DC located right on Pennsylvania Ave. We met up with Lauren the CWA representative that was going to be coordinating the schedule of activities. Leonard went with her to go through the routine and locations. It was clear with the paper he had in hand this was going to be a busy schedule. After we suited up we got to the registration area and greeted people coming in. It was very apparent that no one knew Stormtroopers were going to be at this event. We immediately had pictures taken and started arresting individuals using my binders. From there we moved inside into the main area of the convention for more photo opportunities. It was revealed to us we were to be on stage during the opening statement for the presentations and discussion forum. The staff involved from the convention was impressed with how we handled the event and not for Leonard's help Lauren would not have been able to make the other groups and activities flow so nicely. There were politicians, Microsoft, Pixar, ABC, and other industry leader attending this convention. We ran into Senator and President of the MPAA Chris Dodd and had a photo shoot with him. He told the crowd he did not need security with us around as his personal guards. I then told him and the crowd that it was true since we were expert marksmen, the best the empire has to offer. We played xbox connect and actually danced to music as Jabba Da Huts girls that was recorded. Played minecraft, 007 photos and a character picture by Noiratures that was a hit and the individual running the booth was ecstatic wearing his Star Wars tshirt! We finished the event by attending the VIP lounge for more pictures and out on the balcony had people on the street taking pictures along with the Newsuem official photographer. On the way back to change a program engineer grabbed us and wanted us to crash a live TV show "The Young Turks" (4/24/15 show). I needed help getting u the steps to the stage, but we showed up and got a great response and the hosts had no idea what to think? In the end it was an absolutely great experience where we presented well and finished even better! Disney and CWA very more than happy and for the first time as a result were the Trend on Twitter and Instagram. Enjoy the pictures! 9. I second the trimming. I ended up taking 1-1/2" off the tops of my thighs. I followed the contour when I did it. I also put notches on the back side of the lower thigh at the knee. This all helped tremendously!
  10. With a strap on the inside of the bicep to shoulder bell in Addition to the hook. There are numerous build that did that. I did it to mine after it moved around and would pop out of the shoulder bell.
  11. I have recently helped two TK get basic 501st approval and after submitting pictures the second submittal a question came up from my garrison GML about the white hooks on the bicep for the inner strap on the shoulder bell. He wants to approve screen accurate armor but from what I have seen LFL did not use the hooks but a strap on the inside of the bicep to shoulder bell that is not visible. If we have the white hooks would it make sense to paint or coat them in black to not be noticeable? Is this addressed in the CRL and we are missing it or at the EIB and Centurion Levels?
  12. One on the left is AP and the other two are AM buckets all with the mesh.
  13. I have an AP and AM helmets both with the frown screen and to me besides hiding your face it gives it and "cool" factor look.
  14. I have two guys in my area that are building the most recent AM kit. One is 6'-1" and a 36-37" waist and he added about 2" to the ab/kidney and everything else is perfect. The other gentleman is 6'-2" and thinner but due to the proportions and made for a larger person its fits perfectly. My AM kit worked out well and Im 5'-9" at 175lbs and I had to remove about an 1" from the ab/kidney . The kit is a brighter white and thick .090" ABS. Lots of extra material for bigger arms and legs.
  15. I have tried and cannot find a single email or website for TrooperMaster TM? Any one have the info?
  16. Typically you want to split the difference with trimming so its symmetrical or a true middle seam. Just make sure you are comfortable with the fit. As far as the forearm length you can take some off at the wrist since there is no return edges there but you could take some off both ends. You will need to make a relief on the left forearm anyway so you can bend your arm. You noticed that the inner forearms one has a relief/cut out for bending, that's the right arm and one does not have hardly anything, left arm. There are plenty of AM builds that you can look over.
  17. New shoulder bells, opened up a 1" gap between the bicep and forearm, trimmed ATA chest at the shoulder area and put some notches in the back of the shins and thighs so I can bend me knees better and things look and felt great!
  18. WARNING picture heavy! Update from last I posted. Its been 4 troops under my ammo belt and only two things have happened: the rear finishing strip on the left shin pulled away and I gouged my left boot from trying to bend my knees. II glued the strip on better and plan on trimming the back of the knees!I do have some swag on my Stanley box and a jacket that is looking good! I also trimmed my ATA chest to get more of an accurate shape at the shoulder bridges. I put on the newer set of bells too. Besides that I seem to be on the shorter side of my fellow troopers even though a little bit over 5'-9" is not short? Just enjoying the troops!
  19. Its funny but I have been on three troops with my AM kit and because of the fitment issues went with a different bucket (pin head), chest and back plates (short torso). When I found out what the other TKs were wearing older FX with different buckets and looking at the pictures afterward from 10 feet away who would know what maker was what? I have not seen a FX bucket yet. I enjoy the trooping and what I really love best about the garrison I am in is that so far besides my fresh armor the vets wear to enjoy, troop and please the kids and parents! I have seen so many repairs and fixes to the vets armor that I think about do I need to polish off the rub marks or dang I got the belt a little dirty? I don't think the garrison has a EIB or Centurion TK from the 13 of us. I think the concern about who has what armor should not matter once they meet the 501st approval and if your already in then the grandfather statute should apply. The only thing I got from my fellow TKs and a really tall Snowy was that being a little bit over 5'-9" with three taller troopers was how small I looked! It was all good and as they put it (great bunch of guys) was someday I will grow up! "Wear to enjoy"
  20. Oh I agree and why buy a bucket that's not accurate and make it work if you don't even have the armor!
  21. Has anyone seen this???? ------------ Kind of curious but very scared!
  22. I will leave it in the holster since I have a set of binders and might have prisoner transfer duties! Good idea about having a belt without a holster.
  23. I'm doing a troop tomorrow night and want to bust out the DLT, so the question is do you keep your E-11 in the holster or not at all?
