  1. and the answer is....... Satin Black
  2. exactly, joseph said it. Terrell sells the parts separately if asked.
  3. In Home Depot you will not find it in where you would expect. Look for Insect Mesh Screen. that is the perfect size for the frown mesh. If you looks at my bucket build that is what i used. I Love ATA, can't wait for your build to come through. Good Luck, i'll keep an eye.
  4. that is scary lol.. but it will look much better now.
  5. Beautiful Job Christian, the armor looks great. Some slight critiques (shouldn't affect approval) 1. could be the picture shot, but watch out for the butt plate to overlap the kidney 2. you may want to get another brow so that it extends completely on the left side of the bucket and covers the traps 3. abdominal buttons are a bit over painted, you may want to use some mineral spirits to make them smaller again, really nice job!!! Good Luck on your submission
  6. Keep in mind that tkarmour sells the abdomen with the buttons integrated into the armor and traditionally they are a separate piece that you attach. Also, the butt plate is oddly shaped. before purchasing anything outside of the recommended armories, make sure this one is approval based on 501st standards. at quick glance some of the parts looks a bit "off" Depends your purpose as well (i.e. EIB, centurion, etc...)
  7. Very nice... I mean more to carry, but really nice! lol. Great Job Trooper
  8. Exactly. as mentioned, it is not mandatory, but it definitely helps hide your eyes and mouth through the bucket. As far as con, the only negative is that is makes it hotter inside the bucket, but thats negligible. I personally used a standard black spray, but a lot of people use Plastidip which covers nicely in black while still giving good texture for adhesion. At the end of the day, its preference and you do what makes you happy. That goes for everything inside the armor as well
  9. my thoughts exactly. But in either case, i would say it would be safe to assume to make sure everything on the build is scaled down the same percentage lol
  10. Good Luck Cody... i see you already began with a rough dremel to clear some of the excess flash. you are in good hands here on the board. Glad to see you started a thread, feel free to ask as much as possible and post as many pics as possible lol.
  11. Nice Job! Looks like a really clean build and easy approval! Good luck...
  12. Nice Job! should be an easy approval for EIB. Good Luck trooper!
  13. beautiful work!
  14. Looks like you have everything in order. I look forward to watching this build. Diana did an amazing job on hers, so using her as reference is a great idea. Love the way RS labelled everything and drew the ear out. Makes things at least a little easier lol. Good Luck!
  15. Exactly, i was about to mention it. Other than that, looks like a quick approval. Nice job, good luck.
  16. exactly. you have to find a nice balance to it, but allow for dry time.
  17. lmfao...i was about to mention that that is definitely the preferred armor for most TKs. Good Luck and have fun with the build. Not only is it the most identifiable armor, but because it is the most go to there are TONNSSSSSSSSSS of builds to help you along the way.
  18. lol. its up to your preference. but like was said before, an X-acto knife with a small file gets the job done really easily.
  19. Its not that clear in the CRL, i believe ONLY 1 is mandatory for centurion, but for EIB it can be 1 or more bump painted. For basic approval no stripe is needed.
  20. Yes, exactly what Jim said. Currently what you have is known as "twinkied" teeth for the frown, which is ok if it is your preference, but if you are going for screen accuracy then they need to be squared off (like Jim showed above)
  21. Nice Job Trooper. Your armor looks great, should be a quick process. 1 thing, i noticed you do not have the black ranking stripe on the ears of your bucket. Also, your eyes could use a little clean up to open them up. For centurion, you would need the slotted screws which are screen accurate for the TD. just small critiques, although the ear stripe needs to get added. Good Luck!
  22. Looks beautiful. great job!
  23. Glad to know you were able to find everything you need. The attache team is working on improving the intro and new members section even further to include a lot of that information for new troopers. We are making sure all those details can be found a lot easier. good luck on your build, i'll be keeping an eye on it.
  24. Most troopers use Novus polishing kits to clean the armor.
