Mine doesn't. Even during the Rose Parade. Never had any problems with the two-piece route. Actually I like that I can wear them under my street clothes to an event.

He he - we should have all toss back a pint every time this question comes up.

On January 1st (00:01:01 EST [GMT -5]), the 2008 elections for all elected offices in the Legion will begin. First, you must be registered on the 501st Legion forums to nominate officers and to vote - EVEN IN YOUR LOCAL ELECTIONS. If you are not registered already, please visit www.501stforums.com and sign up with the e-mail address you provided to your GML at the time of the last census. In the menu on the left side, you will see a link to the 2008 elections area: http://www.501stforums.com/elections2008/ From there, you may submit nominations for the offices of the groups you belong to. Each nominee, that nominee's unit leader, and Legion Command staff will receive an e-mail to notify them of the nomination. Each nominee will need to be seconded before being placed on the ballot. The nominee may then accept or decline the nomination. NOTE: if your current CO intends to run for office again, he or she should be nominated and seconded, even if there is no apparent challenger! Note also that nominations can be accepted or declined before a second is received, but the acceptance will not count until there is a second. A declined nomination will be effective immediately. All nominations are anonymous. No one will know who nominated whom through this utility. Once the nomination period ends (January 15, 2008 at 23:59:59, EST [GMT -5]), each Garrison, Outpost, Squad, and Detachment will be responsible for conducting the question-and-answer period on their OWN FORUMS. Candidates for Legion Commanding Officer will have their Q&A session conducted on the Legion forum as usual. (Please note that the office of Merchandise & Branding Officer is NO LONGER AN ELECTED POSITION according to a recent Charter amendment) Voting will begin on February 1, 2008, 00:01:00 EST. The ballot will be presented to each member through the Legion forum, and will be the only vote considered valid. Voting will end February 14, 2008 at 23:59:59 EST. A summary: - Submit anonymous nominations through the Legion forum (January 1, 00:01:00 EST - January 15, 23:59:59 EST). - Second, accept, and decline nominations from the Legion forum (before January 15, 23:59:59 EST). - Garrisons, Outposts, Squads, and Detachment create special areas for questions from members to candidates (January 16, 00:00:00 EST - January 31, 23:59:59 EST). - Vote at the Legion forum (beginning February 1, 00:01:00 EST). If you do not see a unit listed that you believe you are a member of (for example, Detachments), please send that unit leader an e-mail requesting access, with a copy to Legion Data Droid Darren Blum ([email protected]). Submit all other questions, comments, and concerns to the Legion Captain of the Guard ([email protected])."

Yes, do keep snide marks to yourselves people. There are better things to do today that police threads.

Helmet first, sound second. You left off a few other options for sound, like Bommar and Skullworx...

Pretty cool I'm all for mods that can be easily undone or swapped to switch between canon/non-cannon-ness

Cutting the butt plate to make two separate pieces is required for ANH/ESB Elite standards. The FX is the only mainline kit that requires this as others come this way. As for adding mobility - it all depends on the person. Some find it to add to it, others not. Also, it should be noted that if you're going for movie accuracy the cod should not be cut, as the ab plate was a single piece. I've found I'm able to hit the can w/o having the cod separated, but others find it necessary. You can always try it and if you don't like it, just get a new ab plate. One last approach: get a butt/kidney from RT or AP and just sell your current back plate.

Master Replicas Hero Helmets..

Wow, that's much improved. I doubt anyone but a die-hard would be able to notice inconsistencies. Heck, I'd display it if one ever came my way... -

I have both the AP & TE2 - will have to post some comparison pix soon. I'm curious as to the true story of how AP got to where it is today. I used to think AP = "TE in ABS", but while similar they're actually pretty different in many areas. Kiyote - we'll have to shoot comparisons of our kit as well. -
What are Forced Unleashed Stormtroopers
Daetrin replied to Daetrin's topic in Stormtrooper Commander
It certainly does. Makes you wonder if LFL was skimming from IC. -
From me and mine to you and yours - a very Merry Christmas. Trooping is fun, but having 1000+ folks to share this hobby with has been priceless. Every day on these forums is a gift, and I think you all for making this place a special home for stormtroopers everywhere.

I don't for my sandy, but really should for my TK. Having some scuffs on my TK is nice, but it's slowly becoming my new sandy

Master Replicas Hero Helmets..
Daetrin replied to Trooper Q2's topic in Hard Armor (General Discussion)
I think you hit the nail on the head Jez. The target audience for an MR helmet are collectors who may wear it once a year at Halloween but not us troopers. From a business perspective, the qualities desired in a helmet are different, and for what they're trying to achieve they did a good job, though I have to say the frown just looks so wrong, in addition to a few details only us die-hards would notice. -
What are Forced Unleashed Stormtroopers
Daetrin replied to Daetrin's topic in Stormtrooper Commander
As of today they are not canon. As far as TK/TX it's pretty arbitrary, that was the logic in the past but is no longer the case. Costume designations are really to be for a costume category and not a specific costume, else we'd have triple the costume designations we have now. For example, EU stormtrooper officers are also TK, and Heavy Weapons Troopers are TD, even though both are covered by the Spec Ops detachment. While it's great that MEPD focuses solely on screen seen sandtroopers and FISD focuses solely on screen seen stormtroopers, from a costuming resource perspective this can be pretty limiting. Long term it makes sense for FISD to own these EU troopers, just like eventually we should own the EU stormtooper officer, and - I know this may seem contrary especially coming from me - black hole troopers (which are pretty much black TK's). -
I use a large bin with wheels and handles for local events, and a hard shelled suitcase if I have to take it on an airplane.

What are Forced Unleashed Stormtroopers
Daetrin replied to Daetrin's topic in Stormtrooper Commander
The answer from the LMO is a definate maybe. A video game alone doesn't suffice. RC's made it in because of many persistent sources in addition to the video game - Ms. Travis' books being a big part of it. Will FU TK's follow the route of RC & ARC's? Maybe, maybe not. But this category exists to explore the costume and see how it goes. -

Daetrin replied to Daetrin's topic in Stormtrooper Commander
Yes, it's for the new game. These are supposed to take place in a time between the clones and the OT, so they are transitional. I think the theory is that the officers are the old clone salts who retain the coloring from the "good old days". Everyone else is plain white. Kinda like a circle coming back on itself, as plain white is how they started (EPII clone). -
These are essentially TK's with paint schemes, though with screen caps more variations may be added. Here are reference pix:

Check out TK4205's tutorial in a similar setup o-----

Whoa! TM even captures the detail of the ab buttons not being in a perfect line. How amazing is that?

HOWTO: Dress in Stormtrooper Armor
Daetrin replied to trooperstormy's topic in Tutorials, Tips and HOWTOs
Doh! I should make one. I think I can get my sandy on in 5 minutes. The TK on the other hand still takes a little longer.
