  1. That's what I was thinking - either bad lighting and blurry picture, or a lot more to cut out (or both). (Oh, missed the second page, before I commented)
  2. You still need to shorten the kidney to but ones like I mentioned previous page. If the straps are short enough (very top of but to very bottom of kidney) then they can't move so your but can't flare out like that. Physically impossible. Instead of lowering your kidney, maybe you need to lower your whole back/kidney/but as one, by having longer shoulder straps??
  3. Vern has lots of good points, many of which I discussed with Mathias when the topic first arose a few weeks back. Feedback here from someone who did up cutting the notches out in my MTK armor order to comply with these new requirements. 1. It was easy to do, simply cutting a 15x10 section put 2. The butt doesn't line up anymore 3. It's not visible with the belt on, so A- what was the point doing it , and/or B- now that it's done it doesn't matter cause you can't see it 4. Why make it a rule, when in 95% of amrors won't be visible, just as we don't make the strapping a requirement as it's not visible. So, two conclusions from someone who has done it with armor that wasn't built for it, see "A" and "B" above. Re, Mathias' comment about the size, yes 15x 10 looks very small on the armor comparing it to photos, so it should be a lot bigger I think. Vern has some funny points about new CRL's, but in all seriousness, perhaps we should look at them again. Base - somewhere in between current base and EIB EIB - current centurion Centurion - screen accurate. Pick an exact trooper and put the cracks in, duct tape, etc.
  4. Not sure about AP versus others, but this is one pic that gets thrown around a lot.
  5. Hmmmm, Steve (Gazmosis) made a mention in a Centurion thread about someone with forearms on the wrong side. I'll see if I can find it. And there's a pic here somewhere about biceps. Will see if I can find that one too. I'm only at work, nothing else to do Edit: See if you can decipher this http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/28311-tk-27101-requesting-centurion-status-rs/
  6. Hey Ty. Looking great! I see you asked a question earlier in your thread about your Butt/Kidney attachment. You could try moving (or adding extra) your snaps on the butt right up as close as possible to the top edge of your butt. By doing this you will only need a very short piece of webbing - I assume it's webbing and not elastic - which physically won't be able to move as much as it is now. Although I love the idea of the thigh garter, I didn't order one, sceptical of whether you would see the buckles. Hopefully it's not as noticeable in real life. Can you adjust it so it's not so visible?
  7. Great work. Looks heaps better!
  8. Plenty of MTK builds on the forums, including mine.
  9. Found it - "Felice".
  10. Woo hoo! Shiny white stuff! The curved bit is your elbow, so the picture as we see it - left hand side = elbow. Right hand side = wrist. That was what you meant?
  11. I've come a cross a real scope for sale, where the owner says: "the vision is a little blurry and has water droplets on the inside of the lens. The scope can be pulled apart and cleaned". Is this possible, easy? Am I likely to damage the scope or optics if I try this? Snap it up because it's cheap, or stay away because it's not perfect? I thought I remembered a thread here on the FISD where someone pulled one apart, but for the life of me, I can't find it now.
  12. I hope you used her best cloth and pink gloves too!
  13. Just to clarify, my issue was with creating a new post, not editing. More than happy to PM you when (if) it next happens to look at it real time.
  14. Looks pretty good from here Scott. Also interesting contrasting white legs on your stand. Nice work!
  15. Not long now Andrew!
  16. Thanks Christian, Ron. My concern or worry with cutting the arm any further is that with the MTK armor (not sure if others are similar) is that where the cover strip lip is (bottom of below pic) is very angular. (1), I'm at the limit of where the strip goes now. If I cut off any, I'll have to cut off the full 15mm plus any curved bits that may get in the way. If I do this both sides then I'm worried they will be too small. And (2), where the two halves join will be at a 90degree angle. I'm guessing I would need to severely heat bend these to get them to work. The new padding I've put in is only 10mm thick and my arm is quite tight in there. I'll get some more pics of that and see what you all think.
  17. Wouldn't let me post again in my Build Thread. Ended up splitting my planned post into 3 separate smaller posts and it worked fine.....
  18. Oh, I will share with you all my first real complete trial fit. Sent these off to my GML in the hope to get pre-approval to troop this weekend at the annual Lego Expo. I did get approval. The only real comments he had were about my forearms and biceps being a bit big. Possibly correct, but also that the padding was out of place. You can see that my right forearm and bicep are hard up against my arm on the inside but flapping in the breeze on the outside. I think I'll play around with padding before I cut them apart and try to reshape/resize. Again, any comments, suggestions, constructive criticism always appreciated.
  19. I've actually just today, changed out that grey padding. It was too thick. Some thinner stuff in there now. Oh, added Velcro to the boots and shins. Seemed to work ok during a trial fit the other day. Haven't trooped yet, so time will tell. Anyway, that's where I'm at. Appreciate any comments, feedback, constructive criticism.
  20. More.... (yesterdays post wouldn't work, so I'll try do it in several sections) Elastic on the shoulder bells to go around the biceps Velcro, not elastic attached to my thighs. These will stick onto a Velcro based back support/brace/belt (pics to come.....) And some padding going inside the forearms/biceps, etc. However I do need some thinner foam.
  21. Ok, been a bit slack here. I've been doing little bit by little bit and trying to take photos when I remember. So an update: Nothing like a mini armor party on the mates dining table Made up my own belt and snaps (but I've since later changed my method for hanging the thighs. Thanks VNB for the idea!) Cut the little notch (15x10mm) as per new EIB regulations. Doesn't quite suit the shape of my but piece now, but apparently that doesn't matter. And you can't see it at all when I have my belt on.
  22. I hope you didn't purposely scuff your boots. Not a requirement any more And someone will no doubt chime in about being too much gold on the scope. Great build Diana. Good luck and I'll say congrats now!
  23. From the big man himself http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/27756-holster-strap/?hl=%2Bholster
  24. 99.9% sure the colour of the tabs doesn't matter. There's even sellers out ther (in fact, my holster was like it) where they make them with loops for ESB and just cut one half of the loop to have a single piece for fixing if you go ANH.
  25. Just remember, not all centurions are correct, and one exception certainly doesn't mean it's right. Chuck, depending on what level of accuracy you're going for, I wouldn't change until told to do so, as the clean up will probably look worse that it does now, which isn't that bad anyway. Keep going!
