  1. they make your eyes water when you chop them , i know nothing about onions as well you know !!
  2. Nice collection you have there John , the ROTJ on the far left is the LFL promo version I think as it has t track instead of U channel, they used them for the special edition releases. if you check out the parts of star wars there is a lot of info on the differences in the versions , basically the ESB stunt (3rd from left) is as john said the most recognised as an ESB E11 as the only really obvious difference on the hero ESB is the M19 scope opposed to the M38 which is recognised as the ANH version. The MGC version was used in ROTJ as all the trooper scenes were shot in the US and it was the nearest base gun they could get to the UK sterling. Its actually a copy of the canadian C1 which is in itself a sterling copy !! basically its a recast
  3. PS mate been looking at some reference for this and think you might be a little off with the height of the fin, should be taller, and maybe some slight slope on it too, pic shows the screen used stuff on the Fett EE-3 , should be squarer at the bottom too not rounded like B is --------- LMK what you think mate Found the pic on the net, hope its OK to use
  4. Nice job John , i do mine the same way One screw is ok in the ROTJ as the scopemount has a notch that goes over the rail so it wont twist
  5. Great site but some of the info is out of date now , they need to update it here and there, all in all though a great resource for blasters . Could do with some more pics though i always feel.
  6. Thats why they only have one stripe then eh john
  7. Heres a pic of a screen used one , you cant see the actual lens here but you can see that its a cut down scope with the tube riveted onto it.Just for reference (and because I'm a blaster geek ) this one has slipped round in the scope ring though as the rivet should be on top.Click on the pic for a super hi- res pic too mmmmmmmm nice ------
  8. Am in johns camp too but anything that makes the hasbro a little more accurate is all the better, now all it needs is a receiver and stock extension, grip cover ,saw off the funny hengstler .... shall look forward to seeing how this turns out
  9. By no means a mess mate and if it was a bargain then all the better , if you go for the here version then is just a bit of sawing off type of rail type shenanigans Mind the M19 when sawing though you will need that
  10. Thats it mate , counter and cylinders were only in ANH , all ESB e11 had the M19/M32 scope where as they used these and M38/ M40s in ANH. The stunt is more commonly seen with the snowtroopers but they did have a few heroes.
  11. The pic of the snowie has the ESB hero which were real sterlings , all the ESB stunts were resin castings. you could just dump the ROTJ rail and add a metal rail which would be much easier than making all the stunt parts. Heres the big sell if you do need any give me a shout
  12. If its any help i have a real sterling ,overall length from the tip of the stock to the endcap (not including ring) is 19 and a quarter inches or 495mm, front of the receiver tube to the beginning of the endcap is 17 and 5/8ths or 447mm. I have made a few blasters in the past using the downloadable plans available and when i have compared the back section to a real sterling they have been too long, basically the cocking slot extends to where the endcap would be. Remember some are meant for different pipe sizes and also some windows print settings print them larger , i think there are 3 full pagesize options. if anyone needs any actual sterling measurements just give me a shout
  13. If you go the route of making them in colours its very easy to add pigments to colour the resin and most suppliers sell it. With cold casting the best results I have seen is when a clear gelcoat is used to get the mettalic effect, when using it in resin you need a high comcentration of metal filler to get the right look otherwise (with aluminium) it will just look grey. Also high metal content in the props might cause customs to pull them too
  14. Oh yeah I do the muzzle as well Shawn !! oops forgot that Yeah can easily do the U channel too Vern I usually make the front sights from ali sheet and the rear sights I convert from a sterling one, front d-ring is made from a piece of chain and just a strip of ali bent round it , what i will do is look into making some molds as i have a real MGC front a and rear sight that i used on this aluminium ROTJ E11 i built for myself -
  15. After offering the ESB greeblies I was wondering if there is any interest in these. I used to sell these on e bay but stopped a couple of years back but still have the molds so if anyone needs any or there is a need for a run i could start one in the relevant section here they are fitted to a blaster I made- ignore the price ,this was what i had them up for then and can do them cheaper now and minus the mag. Steve
  16. Please go to new thread in ongoing sales section for list of paid and shipped kits thanks Steve

  18. [quote name='tkrestonva' date='01 August 2010 - 04:35 BTW, if this will be an ongoing run, better to start a new thread in the "Ongoing Sales & Project Orders" section with all the costs listed in the initial post. Will do ,was wondering if i should do that
  19. HI JS I am in the UK so its just the standard stuff all the DIY places do over here. this one is from a place called Wickes but they are all pretty much the same. May do the same thing in the US though, heres a link to the wickes conduit- -------- I checked out the home depot site but there doesn't seem to be a comparible conduit over there and this was the nearest i could find , doesn't have the right amount of curve to it though ----------- Its dead cheap to buy here though so would be easy to send some over cut to length.
  20. Just to verify the Kits are £18 without and £22 with M19 scope plus shipping, above prices are shipping only prices ,basically someone sent me shipping only fees. If this is not satisfactory i can refund the shipping fee for you Both kits come with the clear lens diffuser parts too. Am packaging up the parts and should get to the post office tomorrow or tuesday.
