  1. Just a thought guys but metal replicas are not allowed at many troops , none in the UK for sure Would be great to have a decent one for display though .
  2. Have a look here there's loads to chose from http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Category:BlasTech_Industries_products
  3. Looking real nice so far, what you using for the barrel ? PVC soil pipe is a good size for the main part (larger diameter) I used guttering downpipe for the smaller on mine but its a bit narrow ( Same idea for conecting the barrel in too , us brits think alike -----------
  4. Fill the holes and paint it , splash on some weathering .....
  5. ROTJ scope was not a found item but made from a cut down long scope riveted into plastic cup or lid of some kind with a mahined greeble on the end , it was then attached to the rail with a weaver scope ring. If you look at the the han Solo ROTJ Dl44 in magic and myth its just the scope part as the cup must have been broken off in filming or lost perhaps Also the Han Solo has a larger diameter scope end I thinksuggesting they were made from diffeent scopes they had lying around and cut down.
  6. The wife keeps saying length is important too ! Nice plans Vern , the additions you made are great and take all the guess work and extra measuring away
  7. Hi guys , as far as i am aware the only scope used on ESB E11s was the M19 or 32 , this is on stunt and hero versions, there could have been M38/ 40s on some of the hero E11s but without any proof ( blurays forthcoming) this is the current accurate scope. Although considered the snowtrooper blaster the stunt was used in the Bespin scenes as well by TKs. here's a pic of pugmans ESB stunt and you can clearly see it is an M19 or 32 ( hope this is OK to post sir ) it has the side adjuster and the forward foot is connected to the bottom of the front section , on all the others its behind this on the start of the back section as it cones out. I see what John means it does look longer from the other side but this could be the angle or down to the casting, its at least 2nd generation possibly more. hope this helps chaps
  8. 36mm for MGC 38mm for sterlings , if you get stuck we have 36mm pvc plumbing pipe here in the UK and can send you a bit
  9. Agreed vern its lotsa fun Here's the thing guys , when i first got into this hobby i bought a few props that were supposedly accurate , as i learned more I found they were not and ended up being dissapointed with them. If you went on a troop with one of these someone is gonna eventually point out all that is wrong with them, thats fine if its advertised as an approximation of an e11 blaster and you wont be annoyed but its not saying that and its up to some to point that out.
  10. Not bad but again lots of little innacuracies, grip wrong angle, bump behind grip to small ,step at the rear wrong shape etc , they all look well put together and painted though so if your not worried about total accuarcy then they are Ok if the prices are good. If they are not then search around and get your moneys worth
  11. ooer missus ...sorry cant help meself Never had any trouble pulling mine off either
  12. MG 15 dont look to bad to be honest , scopes arent accurate but reasonable approximations , the base gun looks to be a cast off a real one though so if the price is good ....how good is the price
  13. Awesome work there mate and as said the paint job is great , looks like a real one Love the electronics too.
  14. PM sent Rob Skunky i now dont like you unless of coarse you wanna sell the MGC sterling Where did you find that dude ,bet it was pricey !! I missed out on one last year by 2 weeks , the guy sold if for ƂĀ£100 ....I nearly cried PS some great reference pics here for the MGC-http://www.modelguns.co.uk/sterling_L2A3.htm
  15. What vern said he's right ,they look good but loads of innacuracies on the e11s ...all of them! and the DL44s are wrong too they are M32 mausers ( airsofts by the look) and not the 1896 broomhandle that was used in the movies.Sorry but if they say they are accurate and they are not ....its up to nerdy blaster nuts to say Not saying your nerdy or a nut Vern They even have the link to the parts of star wars website and they are not accurate to what is up there !
  16. I can see where your coming from Vern but it looks to be an oblong block and i cant see a t shape there, then again my eyesite is pants !! lol Regarding the molding we ask for a better casting on our props for display and costuming and cast the other way round so as not to lose the lettering and detail on top of the scope , on the movies they were only background props so they didnt need to have the amount of detail we require, they may have stuck the blocks on the original scopes before casting and inverted the scope in a i piece mold ,some may have been cut off and some were'nt......maybe
  17. Great work ghosty , very accurate ROTJ build and nice to see one not based round an L2A3 Front D ring looks a little on the large side but other than that its spot on
  18. I think turrican has got this right and they are excess resin from molding the scopes, i have an M19 and an M38 and both came on the mounting brackets and neither had this part on, all the scopes i have seen for sale have not had it either , some of the scopes in the pics dont have it and their are M19s and M38s pictured so it seems the right explanation. Good call turrican
  19. Nice builds vern , see you take the time to do the inner barrel as well, a lot of people miss that out What t track are you using on yours ?
  20. Wow amazing job on this , is a thing of beauty extremely jealous !!
  21. They have 2 vesions of ESB e11s there vern , the stunt is in the snowtrooper section and under IG88 neural inhibitor , these are the only 2 recognised and canon versions. The differences ,although a little out of date, of all the versions are listed there ANH , ESB and ROTJ.
  22. Some of the info is out of date as new finds are made ,main one that comes to mind is the flash suppresor on the ANH Dl44 which was then thought to be a fire extinguisher nozzle but was in fact an MG51 flash hider from Luftwaffe aircraft. Most of the info on E11s is very good though and they even identified every different version of e11 used in ANH, there's even a handy chart Could do with a few more reference pics but on the whole its a great resource.
  23. I have an M38 and M19 and the threads are both the same, i prefer the ones from my m38 as the other has a weird step on it so use these on both.
  24. Where did you get these from rob ,would like to grab some myself
  25. Make the front bend go into the last vent hole and pot rivet the rear into the flip down iron sight. I change the scopes on mine from time to time when doing prop parties and its easier to remove the rail , you have to drill the rivet out but its no biggie.
