  1. Coming out nicely! Nice work on the paint job. Can't wait to see it done
  2. Ah ok thanks . It should fit alright. Now I just need to see if I can fit that alongside my armour haha!
  3. I've been meaning to get a DLT. Can the DD fit in a regular large luggage travel bag after disassembling it? or Even in a large backpack?
  4. Looks pretty much perfect to me One thing others might point out is the distance between the rivet covers on the belt to the edges of the belt. Mine looked the same as yours and it didn't stop me from being a Centurion. But Locitus suggested it anyways so I recently made that change. They might also want a close up shot on your forearms return edges. But from the pics they look alright to me But you pretty much look like you came off the screen so should be an easy pass mate All the best!
  5. Did they specifically mention that you were turned down because "it was a recast"? Because there are plenty of recasted armours around
  6. How's your build so far?? Just a little more to go!
  7. No better way to test fit that a troop (well it's not official until you get the ab buttons and boots sorted haha! ) in a con. How did the armour feel on your btw? During my first trip I realized certain return edges scratched me and made me feel uncomfy. and walking just didn't feel right and all. Did you encounter any discomfort (disregarding not being able to bend our back. most troopers can't anyways XP) during your con?
  8. will do! Can't wait to see this thread built up
  9. Nice one buddy
  10. I know this is a long time coming but I've finally got round to cleaning up my belt.. I've trimmed the belt length to be closer to the rivet covers and the with to touch the boxes: Before: After:
  11. Time to switch to sandy! Just kidding. Use one of those glue removers. But some chemicals don't react well to certain plastics so I would ask around first about the best glue remover. And like Locitus said the straps will hold the shin down.
  12. Really excited to see more pics Karin!
  13. Could you post a pic of where how you're struggling in regards to the fitting the shins around the boot?
  14. How.....how have you only seen this now?..... Anyways the stormie that hit his head is known to be Laurie Goode: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Laurie_Goode And I met him at comiccon too!!
  15. I'm watching this in my office and I'm trying not to scream out loud "FALSE!". We should really let this guy know. He's a genuine good lad but someone needs to let him know the truth!! D:
  16. a. I follow the facebook account. I'm hardly active on insta and twitter but I do follow the Instagram one. b. I think it would be nice to see trooping activities from time to time of the FB page. And maybe really really short tutorials (maybe helmets, blasters, accessories) just to get more publicity on it maybe? c. mmmm maybe a youtube channel? beats me what we could put on it though. and there're already many trooping vids online already hehe
  17. The kneeplates are always a pain. Just use some tough glue and clamp them hard! took me a few tries to get it just right
  18. haha. do round the cover strips before gluing coz you might sand the shiny-ness away by accident if you've already glued all the cover strips XD
  19. Looks good buddy. How do they fit? Just snug or loose? When you carry your blaster you'll be flexing your arms and if it's too tight it'll bite into your arm. Also for the cover strips the edges could be sliiightly rounder. But that's just from my perspective so keep it as it is until you really have to
  20. You did the right thing by asking the FISD first mate! good on ya. As long as you keep asking for help here you can't go too wrong
  21. TK boots is a good source for boots like Germain mentioned. You could buy a pair from RS too if you since you're in contact with them already.
