1. So question- I'm about to fix my ab split rivet placement and am curious for the process for filling the hole with abs paste.

1- should I glue a small piece of plastic to the backside of the he first and then fill the remaining with paste? And

2) how do I measure how much plastic to how much acetone?

2. I want so badly to work on my armor .. But spending all day at the beach.. And drinking my fair share is not good for NOT MAKING MISTAKES.. LOL
 3. Are you doing it from a mobile device (tablet or phone) or computer ?
 4. You'll want to post your photos to either photobucket or imgur (apps) then copy the URL and post the link into the thread.. Then you can post as many pics as you want
 5. Thanks !! Lol- how is everything else?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 6. Finished ! Grinded it down to where the cap fits flush. Now some e6000 and wait. In response that is just at 5-6 mm- I read somewhere that was on. Should it be taken down more??

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 7. Have a lot of grinding to do to get my little cover plate to fit without having a lift on any of he sides. #paininthebutt. Lol

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 8. Now that's an awesome work area lol

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 9. Thanks- funny he second 2 worked fine. First one I had to rig- (the hole got to big and I could to get a rivet to stay). I'm gonna cut down, sand and cover the "messy" one- but all in all that shouldn't be an issue- right??

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 10. Think I'm gonna try a bolt and use my drimmel to sand it down. You'll never know the difference once the cover plates are on

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 11. In what I assumed would be the most simple part of my bud I find myself more frustrated that I've been yet to this point. I can't get the damn pop rivet gun to work correct - the back end of the rivet will not grab the belt. I'm not sure if the rivets I'm using aren't long enough? But either way- I've got to put it away before it all goes out the window

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 12. Got my snaps- time to secure the belt together

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 13. How do you pull it apart ? (Haven't had to yet - but just curious in case I do)

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 14. I can't send a pic right now- but you might be ok- you might consider doing the bent "hook" method attaching the bicep to the bell. Then the single 2 inch black elastic strapping from the bicep to the forearm. It will not only allow you to hang the bicep correctly and keep it up- but it will keep the forearm for sliding to low. I'll send you pics of mine when I get home

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 15. Off to Joann's. Ran out of snaps for my belt- and need to pick up some additional strapping to keep my ab- closer to the kidney. The seams don't line up

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 16. So just made some measurements to my canvas belt- and am going to shorten it up a little to reduce some of the overlap before attaching the canvas belt. Good thing my wore knows how to sew lol! As she's working on that I'm gonna trim up the corners of my belt attachment so it's ready to attach when the belt is ready to go- Any feedback in fitting so far? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 17. One of those days- that all I want to do is work on my belt and finished the "top half". But my honey do list is to long... Arghh. Tomorrow- it's on. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 18. Just ordered some thx. Gotta sand down some shins now

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 19. Nice start! Tons of patience, and one piece at a time will get you there. I've been on my build just at a year.. Kids, work family - ya know the drill. Enjoy your build and ask lots of questions. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 20. Looking really good!! The sides have really come together nicely! I can offer ya some tips and tricks with getting the arms to hang well, if ya need.. It took me several sizings. A few things I notice- it might be the shadows, but the button plate in the top pics looks a little crooked. (Again, it might just be shadows)..still seems like your going to want to bend (heat or otherwise) that butt plate.. And are ya gonna add the snap on the top right cod piece? Oh yeah, you--- like me-- will need to start working on armor for your puppy! Lol.. Looking awesome! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 21. Any ideas what the best brand of cap rivets you guys used for the ammo pack- I think those were jeans rivets I bought before -

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 22. Total disappointment. damn cap rivets are to short. Looks like I'll have to make another run to he store. - either way- back to working on shins.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 23. Drilling - will post pics in a sec. I got distracted an started removing returns from my shins. I'm so motivated to get to my helmet. I can hardly stand it. - still no boots yet

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 24. How does placement look before drilling ?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 25. That's kind of what I was thinking - I have a snap gun but it wouldn't reach the middle of the cod piece.. Also, I'm not sure about installing a split rivet snap on the cod in fear of damaging the plastic. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
