1. Look really good and in line - on mine I'd have to abs paste fill the hole and re- rivet if I wanted to go centurion. But I plan on trooping more than anything. Hospitals, charities etc. It's a mistake I'm willing to live with lol

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 2. They turned out perfect. Didn't make the same mistake I had - going to low on he bottom rivet

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 3. Thanks - agreed. It's really kinda hard to work with (the NE armor has a ton of extra material to work with.) i didn't have any pressure on the bottoms when that pic was taken. Gonna take some of the material I know I won't need away, then snap a few more pics Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 4. Good feedback- and it does show to male snaps- I just didn't want to put the stress of the connecting piece on the plastic. I made a snap plate that put over my snaps - you'll see in the pics below. I'm starting to measure up before staring to cone in and trip my thighs for the back cover strip. How does the positioning look from the front. (On the pic from the rear you can see some very faint pencil lines where I'm thinking I should trim to get my butt join going

Thoughts?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 5. Here is the shoulders after the heat bend Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 6. Well, did a little heat bending on both my shoulders and the butt plate, And I think I got it sitting pretty well. Still not 100% please with how he but plate sticks out at the meeting of the kidney, but I'm out of ideas don't know that I can get it strapped any closer... Suggestions? 7. Eureka!, I figured it out lol How to post a pic that is
 8. Thanks - I'm gonna give it a go and repost my pics- appreciate the feedback! (Think ya night have posted the wrong link for posting pics)

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 9. Hey- I literally just posted my pics doing the same thing with the butt plate. Downloaded imgur and put my pics there - but still don't know how to input the URL so it shows up as an imbedded pic, but that's another story. I'm having the same issue with my butt plate flaring out. Think eat bending might be the best bet.. So it has less stress and flares less. But I'm waiting on some feedback. 10. K- Need some help, finished my trial run for strapping and found some funny stuff. The kidney to ab connection seems pretty solid, but the shoulders sit to far out and the butt plate is doing this crazy move when I connect it to the crotch piece. Have a look and let me know your thoughts. Honest feedback please. I think I'm gonna try and heat bend the but plate a little because it's seems to lay perfect when it's not snapped.. But pulling a little on the butt plate forces the top back. The sides clearly need to be curved in a little ... 11. Well poop- lol- (will it affect approval?)

It's gonna be one of those things that I notice every time I put my gear on but when fully suited no one will see. I guess everyone's gear has a few little quirks that make them their own

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 12. So I was considering that when I placed them and read, re-read and read again the placement instructions for the level 3 approval- and the only thing it mentioned was the depth from the side and even spacing

"Rivets on the left side of the ab plate: a total of three fasteners, the heads should be rounded or domed, solid, approximately 5/16" (8mm) diameter and equally spaced out along the depth of the armor and about 10mm from the edge. They may be painted white, or not. Paperclip brads are not considered to have a domed head. Note: For the original TK armor the type of rivets used were bifurcated rivets or split rivets."

I also held my unfinished belt up and noticed it would be covering the bottom rivet and seems to do so on most other approvals I've seen. Hopefully it won't affect my approval

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

 16. Most nerve racking night yet. Drilled my armor to install the split rivets! I was not looking forward to this because it seems so permanent. Of course the drill slipped a little doing the crotch rivet, so it's not perfectly centered. Oh well, it will be one of those labor of love mistakes that I'll notice every time I put on the armor- but no one else will care about- here is a few pics-

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 17. Do you have a link?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 18.
I know you've seen countless threads before with similar pics, but the placement of the snap plates doesn't really change. Your correct that the length of your strapping will vary- depending on solid measurement - but if your being as careful as you sound- you won't waste that many. Mistakes will happen, but good measurement and fitting will ensure most are pretty close to where they need to be-

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 19. Thanks! Everyone is so helpful- can wait to get my TK number and my approval;) #SOON

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 20. Question for anyone who might know- is there a difference in the split rivets used to secure the ab piece to the kidney piece, the one on the crotch, and the ones to secure the ammo pack- ? Or can they all be roughly 8mm split rivets? Can the 2 buttons on the butt plate be quick tool secured snaps? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 21. Makes sense- thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
 22. Do the drop boxes need to be riveted to the canvas belt prior to attaching it to the ABS? Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
 23. True, So I had a really productive evening - completed some strapping from the kidney to the butt plate- Also got brave with the heat gun (nothing really big though) and bent my hook pieces to attach the shoulder bell to the bicep.. Can't really test fit it all until the E6000 dries up- more to come!!
 24. Any ideas? Afraid to use heat gun Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
