  1. They hang from a belt you have around your waist, which is hidden behind the abdominal and kydney plates. You can have a glimpse at it on this sceencap (and also on a picture of Luke resting on his side between shots but i can't find it back):
  2. I'm not sure if the Simon's holster you're talking about is specifically designed for the SE-14R actually. As Locitus says, the only time where we see it holstered it's on this set of pictures and the holster is just a normal TK holster with a different cutting patern at the blaster opening and stitches toward the front: As for the measurements over the French Forum, i remember they were kind of approximate because based on few pics with no scale on it at all.
  3. Soaking the B&W newspaper... Why didn't i think about that! That's very nice, i'll keep it in mind. Does it hold on the armor though, or is it wiped if you rub it with your finger? And are the shins velcro closed?
  4. To me, you can do both. However, the fact of wearing two different handguards and knowing why you wear them like that, i find that it adds a little to the history of the replica The same goes with his biceps hooks. He doesn't always have them, and not always in the same configuration. The right biceps hook you see in the thrash compactor is different than the very uncommon one you see in the control room, and most of the time he doesn't have a left bicep hooks but you can clearly spot one in the thrash compactor scene. I think i would just pic those little details from scene to scene that make the suit unique and mix them together. Just my opinion though, do as you prefer!!
  5. Now that's how a belt should look like ! And very nice painting on those abdominal buttons
  6. And also, inner drop boxes to elastics. x2
  7. Actually Han has this handguard set-up only during the first half of the film. Once he gets to the elevator with Chewie handcuffed, he has swapped with a normal standard left/right set-up: alternative style on the left hand, standard on the right Standard style on the left hand, with standard on the right
  8. Welll... You all look the same to me... Irony inside off course ! No offense to your mates but you really stand out
  9. Yeah, that's funny, i noticed the quadro-styled pictures too and thought: "It must be a german kink" .
  10. Looks like an extremely solid beginning. Don't forget to study closely reference pics so you put the right number of black stripes in the tears and vents, as the right number of tube stripes . However, i feel like your brow might be a bit low for Han's helmet:
  11. I'm sure you will sort it out more easily once you'll have removed all the flash there is on the sides of the NE armor. I don't think you need that extra room.
  12. There's not enought comments on this thread! The build is awesome, with great attention to details. Superb
  13. On your side pics your abdominal plate appears to be really too low. I think you should consider strapping the kydney plate with the abdominal plate before trying to make the ab/chest connection. Once you got the kydney/ab strapped together it's all easier.
  14. Don't forget to paint the screws in white, and also the ear bars rank.
  15. Shoulder bells are good, biceps are good, forearms are too low. Their top should be touching the bottom of the biceps. And if then you have trouble bending the arms, you can increase the trim of the top curve on the inner half of the forarms to gain some space. Also, take care in following what others do. Always prefer the reference pictures of original armors first.
  16. Nice job on the ears. Keep it up, you're almost done.
  17. Always impressed by your stuff! You deserve the recognition
  18. AP helmets don't come with a s-trim for the neck opening. In fact they come with two pieces of u-trim, one short for the brow and one longer for the neck. About its placement, as Bone says it goes over the ear. Good luck with your ears trimming!
  19. Gloves should also be textured on the inside if you look closely at the picture above.
  20. Here's a pic with measurements: Yes you are slightly off regarding to this one, but it doesn't matter. They were all different on the film because of the hastily way of building. To me your TD looks good.
  21. Sharp application! Good luck. I like the fact your shoulder bells and elbow gaps show little black. To me this is an important point in an EIB application and even more for a future Centurion one.
  22. Looking forward for this build. And don't hesitate to ask your questions, people like me who have no armor left to build love answering them .
  23. It's very nice to have comparison pics of these two different handguards makers. And i'm actually quite surprised by the scale difference between both. Isn't the rubber too white next to TM's ABS though? Also I'm glad you decided to stick with flexible handguards and chemical gloves. I have begun with ABS handguards and leather gloves, but now i love my flexible handguards too much to think of ever swapping back, and in addition it's more accurate .
