  1. I love when all the paintjob is finished. There's not much, but it really brings the armor to life. Good work completing it.
  2. Wow, steaming along very fast. Excellent build so far. The only thing that sticks out to me, is I think you could have trimmed the part of the butt plate that extends between the legs shorter. Basically, removing all the ABS where you have set the two snaps and repositioning the two higher.
  3. Weathering will always have my preference. It adds grit and character to everything. I'm not interested in TFA armor but if i did, i'd weather the heck out of it.
  4. Awesome! I'm sure you're glad you took the time.
  5. 2 inches wide white elastic. ESB armors are the same than ANH.
  6. If it really bugs you too much, I think pulling the ABS and fabric belts apart and flipping the fabric belt won't be that hard. The drop boxes strapping should even be salvageable by doing so. You will just need to slide them off the fabric belt and switch their side (the left hand boxe will have to remain on the left hand side of the belt). The end caps will also need to be removed and glued again, but it's not something impossible with e6000.
  7. Have a look at Wannawanga's website. He's doing T-tracks for lightsabers, E-11 and EE-3 of astonishing quality. I don't know how long DLT tracks must be, but if needed he also does custom length, you just need to shoot him a mail. http://wannawanga.com/
  8. Yeah, this happens because you have removed material from your sides, and hence reduced the lenght of belt needed on the side. Actually, you could solve this problem by reversing how the belt closes. If the velcro side with hooks was on your left side, the rivet would still be on the overlap section of the velcro but it wouldn't be hidden. But honestly I don't think it's too dramatic, I guess you could leave it as that and still be Centurion approved.
  9. There are actually fewer troopers with biceps hooks than without. So don't worry, they are certainly not compulsory. It's just something 501st members like to add because it keeps the biceps armor from twisting around your arm too much.
  10. Watching . I didn't know it's still possible to purchase a NE armor, though it doesn't surprise me.
  11. Well, I don't know if you have done anything yet Eric, but my FISD is back to normal and works properly now. I hope it's running better for you too Dennis and Brandon.
  12. Very good progress! I agree with you on the bolts for the detonator clips, smaller would be good. And don't worry about the notches you had to do on your drop boxes elastics, they did the same on the original armors: One little thing I noticed and that you could improve one of those days, is the main abdominal button plate. There should be an ABS rim all the way around it: . Otherwise it's really looking neat!
  13. Haha, had to google the Ten-four thing to understand it! It's nice to learn new things
  14. Careful with this picture above, there's a little defect on it. The end caps near the extremities of the belt should be almost edge to edge with the Ammo belt underneath rather than centered. A bit like that: About the shoulder bridges, honestly I would leave them like that and entrust the elastic loop to keep them from floating too much. You can also heat bent them a little more.
  15. No, please Eric, do what you need to try to figure this out. I tried to quote you but it doesn't work either by the way.
  16. Well, it's surprising because it didn't trigger right after the server change. Only 2 or 3 days ago.
  17. Oh, and I realize I made a mistake with tipping/typing but I can't edit my post... Here's what I get when I try:
  18. I did manage to post a picture, using the html code for it!
  19. Hello, For three days now, I have been encountering serious issues with my post abilities on the FISD. The newline option is broken: even if when i'm tipping my message i put some, they're removed once the post is sent; I can't preview my posts nor edit them; the boxes above the tipping area aren't showing, meaning I can't change the fonts, parse links, post pictures, etc... And it's doing it in my personal messenger too. Is there something someone can do about it, or do you think it is coming from my side? I'm using Google Chrome (up-to-date) as web browser. Thanks.
  20. Looking real nice indeed. And nothing beats the worn and used look .
  21. Very nice handpainting, and your split rivets are where they should be. Good job! On a side note, the snaps on the elastic shoulder bridges for the shoulder bells should be located on the inner side of the strap, on the neck side rather than on the outside like you did.
  22. You don't need any precise ammount of return edge anywhere at the top of the thighs for any level of approval. You can have one or none, it won't make any difference.
  23. Now, I didn't think it would ever happen. Excellent news Mark!
  24. I don't know. I guess someone who's not only focused on his little person, and takes pride in helping other people achieving better armors than his. But whom am I talking with in the first place? ATA owner? Beh, following your rule I shouldn't even be talking with you, nor with my brother.
  25. Looks much better now! I see you've made a lot of needed modifications. I would still modify the trigger amongst few other things.
