Once you cut the notch/curve for your nose you can place a small piece of clear vinyl tube along the edge.
Thus, making it much like an nose pad on a pare of glasses.
You will need to measure and cut the vinyl tubing lengthwise.
I recently had an experience I wanted to share and was unsure how relevant it was. I am hopeful this is the correct forum... If not please move.
Just a few weeks ago I arrived at a troop and opened my armor bin and found a coating of black dust covering the majority of the armor. I had test fit the armor the evening before and packed up just as I had for a number of troops in the past.
In my bin I regularly utilized a few of the 501st reusable grocery bags for miscellaneous items.
It seems that evening and/or the drive to the troop the armor has developed a static charge and attracted the material from the bags. I went from TK to TD without even trying or authorizing the change. It appeared that the armor had developed black mold in only a few hours from test fit the evening before to troop the next afternoon.
As you can imagine I was panic stricken. I attempted to dust off the black material to no avail. Ugh! The electrostatic/static charge kept the black material attached to the armor and I was simply moving it around. Keep in mind this was both on the exterior of the armor as well as in the interior. I also attempted a wet tee shirt this attempt failed as well.
Luckily the trooper I was with had Novus (2) in his bin which took the black dust off and polished the armor at the same time. Quickly as possible I was able to remove the majority of the dust with the time that I had and successfully completed the troop.
That evening I spent a number of hours removing the dust from the armor with Novus (2) and was fortunate enough to save the armor.
Lesson learned...
I no longer use the bags in my armor bin and I would strongly suggest that others do not as well.
