  1. Hence why I said "unless you're doing it like TM does" and it's the climate. We hardly have humidity here!
  2. you dont HAVE to do things like the 70's lol, the screen suits werent made to last. we're better than that and we used snaps like a boss! and dry rot is best explained like when your underwear waistband doesnt stretch anymore cuz of all of dryer cycles.

  4. E6 is like 3-4 bucks at Walmart. That 2oz tube lasted my whole build. I have a snap on the tops of the thighs and 2in wide black elastic (also at wm, 3 feet for $1.44 in the sewing section) that connects to snaps I've put in a regular belt I wear under the armor to hold the thighs up. I've trooped 3 times and already know my thighs will have to be changed out after I get to about 15. A boba fett in my garrison finished his build earlier this year and already had some areas dry rot, so the stretching isn't the only factor that effects elastic. I suggest always use snaps where you'll have elastic, unless your using those screen accurate metal loop things on the torso that TM does. I don't understand those, I just did my armor to be durable, dependable, and long lasting.
  5. For glue it's E6 all the way. It's clear so it'll appear white, but you shouldn't be seeing any excess glue at all. Just sand the contact areas well enough. And for snaps I make sure to mash the hell out of them so they don't come off the snap plates, then ill slightly tap or dent the male part tops so they don't fail during a troop. It makes them harder to snap together, but it stops them from unpopping so easily too. The elastic will last a few dozen troops or so depending on what's being stretched all the time like biceps not so much but thighs all the time. The cap part is closest to your body so when to change elastic you'll need to make new caps, so get a hundred pack of line 24 off ebay.
  6. Maybe search the photo in google image search, just drag it in the search bar.
  7. Borderlands 2 and GTA online for xbox Trooper45
  8. all his helmets start from pep eric lol http://www.therpf.com/f24/halo-4-master-chief-wip-160919/
  9. yknow why luke said he cant see a thing in the helmet? the bubble lenses distort your vision, its like looking through a mtn dew bottle
  10. That must be the same echo I bought a tk helmet from. I wondered if he ever finished his MC
  11. It will if it's on a high setting, might warp a little with thin hips buckets. There are hot glue guns with low temp settings. For permanent applications, 2 part general epoxy works without heating up. That's how I did my lenses and screen. For the foam liner I just used a bit of e6000 and had no problems. I'd suggest just get a better adhesive backed Velcro.
  12. Just get bass Amsterdams and paint them. You can't be cheap on boots.
  13. The armor isn't the problem, you're just too big for it, the next size up is RTmod. It comes with a more accurate helmet too
  14. Well I got one, basically sounds like a drive thru intercom with the treble turned up, or a cheap walkie talkie. Not exactly stormtrooper like, but a quiet biker scout. It's audible but I doubt people can make out exactly what you're saying because of it's slight distortion. You also have to have your lips pressed to the mic as 9 volts isn't enough to power the mic well enough to pick up sound from a few inches away. IMO not worth 35 bucks, maybe 20 at the most shipped. It's a dandy little thing I can still toy with, I'll eventually wire it to my external amp along with the Hasbro changers.
  15. That's an FX helmet with screen derived armor
  16. I'll have to try it old sarge's way http://www.legionxxiv.org/starmormods/
  17. The wait for ata is about 9 months. Either knock a girl up or see how long the wait is for AP
  18. I tried the one per fan and it wasn't enough power. The battery started heating up too. They're 12v fans that were used to cool down the electronics inside police cars so they won't run on lower voltage. I'm just using them till evilboys fans come in
  19. I thought the answer was 3 but i'm double checking. A quick diagram in paint would help too with wiring, you bridge the negative of battery A to positive of battery B and continue the loop right?
  20. It won't. some people use truck bed liner which I don't like. I'd use just a light coat of black primer, and that's it, if anything. But its really not needed as its dark enough inside. One thing I would suggest to people wanting a black interior is just buy a black helmet and paint it white. But not magmas, the read would be too hard to color match with the armor. Even as a shadow trooper I still paint the black helmet black because the materials don't match.
  21. Weird but thanks for bringin it to my attention, this should work http://forum.501stspecopsdet.net/index.php?/topic/2112-dizzys-cap-w-bucket-restoratation-and-build/ And here's the assembly http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/14154-building-a-styrene-anh-helmet-with-cap-w/
