  1. Oh that went through awhile ago. I thought I was gonna have to sell this one too but things worked out! I'll try and get some full armor shots up soon, just wanted to show how simple weathering can be
  2. are white to be omitted from a rotj suit? ive got about 3 inches of gap and am using white shims to hold my TKC torso together, will it be passable? theres no specifics about shims in both crl's. i thought anh ones were the only suits the required them if the gap was greater than 1/2 inch.
  3. my first time weathering, hard to believe i know. maybe those years of painting cars and model kits finally paid off. the blue is testors' blue angels, and all the white paint scores, chipping paint effects is just fancy brush work with some spare gloss white. the black scratches, oil stains, blemishes are all watered down black acrylic. it could, for some ungodly reason i needed to, be wiped clean back to shiny gloss white again with a towel and rubbing alcohol. but it LOOKS like i did a lot of work. i tried to made each scratch unique and realistic since ive been in many battles. ive even added some black dabs in the blue to further enhance the carbon something word i dont know look.
  4. i hate rotj pointy shoulders, ugly face, difficult blaster, white shoe soles, smaller belt, detonator detail, shoulder straps, door trim, upside down ab buttons... just do it right and go anh stunt. easier, cheaper, looks better.
  5. Talk with an inside voice, turn up amp volume. Raising your voice makes the amp muffle, dont talk like they can't hear you outside your helmet.
  6. im surprised it isnt yellow yet. you can buff out the chest scratches with rubbing alcohol
  7. 1138 is for white helmets (and 1110 for tube stripes fyi), use 1146 silver for shadow frowns.
  8. "too small" is when your nose gets squished so open the neck up or make it a low-brow to free up some space, or if its a general volume issue a capw is a bit bigger and should have the space you need, then efx, then rtmod. APs are the smallest helmets! Ata being slightly bigger, capw slightly bigger than that..
  9. in the eyes of a sharpened trooper, its like comparing a don post vinyl helmet to a screen derived one, its gigantic and looks ridiculous! its not hard to save up a hundred or so for a better looking bucket if youve got a big dome, theres always rtmod
  10. NE stood for new something, cant remember what but it was on the mepd thread. anyhoodles mypropcollection is the ebay for NE/AM/sitharmor/tkboots/a bunch of others i cant remember.. for the extra/discontinudstuff sold on forum and the site
  11. mods have to do it, but topics never get deleted. it still bothers me we cant change the titles either. i can do it in my detachment..
  12. you should make a video on how you did the weathering
  13. ace hardware has 1/8 inch thick for sale signs for around 4 bucks i used for snap plates and cover strips. walmart only has paper thin signs
  14. looks fine, couldve fooled me if you said they were decals
  15. i got this far before i got tired of folding. ill sell the torso parts for the cost of the material it took as i threw the arms out.
  16. its in danish lol. best to assume its recast and move along. look how soft those ab buttons are
