  1. I tried using some goo remover, worked quite well and didn't melt the abs, then went over with some T cut polish. Hope this helps
  2. Cool been looking for some of those. I am thinking of making a mannequin out of pvc pipe and bends, hope to get some pics up soon. Looking good so far, keep it up
  3. Congrats nice build, now get out there and troop
  4. Looking good Charles, Centurion here you come. Oh I used the soapy water trick too, like you said takes a bit more time to dry but makes it easy to move decal around to the right spot.
  5. Off to a good start, keep up the good work
  6. Nice work there keep it up. You can even use a 5 minute epoxy glue, find its a bit stronger, but thats just me
  7. Looking good, yes base silver but not the grip, been told that is just gloss black as it was plastic, so no weathering on the grip (also scope is gloss black). Some use matt black I went for a satin black, I didn't texture very much, gave it two coats of the black, on the second coat I pulled the can futher away, this gives a more textured look, After I did a bit of weathering I decided to lock the weathering by giving it two coats of satin clear, some use a matt clear. Do a bit of testing see what you like, I just preffer satin, not shinny not flat, to me just gives it a nice look.
  8. From the threads I have found, usual size is 25mm 1" some use adjusters some don't.
  9. Awesome, well done
  10. Just checked today and there was another delay so looks like 2nd week of October now for new stock, hope I'm on this short list this time
  11. Looks awesome, nice work there
  12. Thanks, the sky is the limit, I think you can do a lot more with a pipe build, fit more inside, there are some nice electronic threads for blasters around so I may be doing another pipe build in the future. Good luck deciding
  13. very nice so far, keep up the good work
  14. Nice work there, keep it up. You beat me to the id, I had thought of TK50101 lol
  15. Looking great Karin keep up the good work
  16. I first rubbed inside the helmet with 400 grit wet and dry sandpaper, gave it a good wipe then used a satin spray paint. Took a few days for the smell to leave the helmet, think it will be better in time. BTW do the painting before you trim so you don't have to mask all the holes . If you get any paint dust on the outside you can just polish it off.
  17. Delete the link and erase from memory
  18. I first converted a habro and made quite a lot of mods but it wasn't up to centruion standards, next a pipe build with some doopy add-ons. Pipe build I didn't find too difficult and was a lot of fun, also it ended up being lighter than my hasbro. I have electrics and lights in both of mine and I found with drilling the holes and attaching the t tracks you get to see the lights in the gaps, don't with a full resing kit. Doopy do a full resin kit which I have heard is quite easy to put together but there are issues with its strength. Good luck what you decide.
  19. Rubbing down bondo is such a pain, especialy in those corners and tight spots, got your work cut out for you. Keep up the good work, you will get there in the end
  20. You and me both, if I don't go crazy waiting for it to turn up first LOL
