  1. They do a nice boot, shipping is dependant on location in the world, unfortunately it's what they charge
  2. We have a name "First Order Judicial" I'm really hoping we see this here in Australia
  3. Congrats and welcome to the ranks trooper
  4. Congrats and welcome to the ranks trooper
  5. Unfortunately I've just been through this with a new garrison forum, member wanted tapatalk because it is easier for them to use, just like the excuse of why so many want to use facebook and not forums, easier to use apparently.
  6. Coming along nicely, looking forward to the progress
  7. Playing with some electronics, I can only do the basics so using a few different things. Taken the electronics out of an old extendable Kylo saber and have some EL wire, I have added an on/off switch and a press switch as well as an amp jack so I can run to the aker amp. I am getting the feeling from the hengstler, magazine and slotted pipe that the weapon may actually double as a blaster, who knows for now but while I have it apart I'll add on some blaster electronics. just in case. Again taken the electronics from a child's toy blaster, added a high bright LED, some smaller led's for the hengstler and magazine, on/off and push switches and incorporated it all with the saber electronics. Here is it in action Next to tidy up and shorten the wiring and make sure I can fit it in the housing
  8. Here's a still from that
  9. Best I could find Also have these of Jyn Erso wielding one
  10. Anovos does have a long wait but other makers do too, a good thread to read through on armor makers https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/11538-the-various-types-of-armor-and-where-to-find-them/?page=1 It is entirely up to your local garrison if you can attend their events as you can not become a member of the 501st until you are 18, for under 18's there is a group called Galactic Academy who may wish to become a member off http://www.galactic-academy.net/ but they do not organise events.
  11. Hello and welcome, lots of info here on joining the 501st http://databank.501st.com/databank/Membership:JoinUs With building armor have a look through some of the build threads, lots of great info can be found. Also post a help needed on your local garrison, lots of members are happy to lend a hand assembling armor. Good luck.
  12. Brackets made Hard to get a good photo with the angles Still deciding if I want the blades to fold, I really want to use EL wire on them like my baton so may have to be fixed for this version
  13. A slip over end cap sounds like a good idea
  14. The two images that differ (middle and right) are both executioner, but one has the completely black end the other doesn't
  15. Detail pieces shaped and added
  16. Must admit I've tried a few different speakers without much luck so I just went back to running the mic down my neck inside the armor and down to the aker amp in my front pouch, works well for me. Some now use a wireless mic and hook up to the aker but I've not tried one as yet. Also run a wire through my undersuit from the aker to the blaster, it's loud enough in your pouch ;).
  17. I have used pine for a few of my larger blaster build, I coat with silver, satin black, weather then a few coats of satin clear. Paints used where an industrial enamel, in spray cans, the silver covers up small lines and scratches well and because of the flake it is easily sanded. I haven't had any issues with it being soft but then I've not really dropped or banged into anything. Seems to be holding up quite well.
  18. Lots of great helmet build threads to follow, you will notice the ears have a tapper back appearance. Have you thought of contacting members in your local area/garrison, some do build days and may be great to get hands on experience. Some build threads: https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/35086-ukswraths-anovos-tk-build/ https://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/42310-cableguys-rwa-anh-stormtrooper-build-wip/#comment-567093
  19. There is a thread on the 501st forums over 25 pages long about issues with delivery of Moncal products, it could be a long wait or you may be a lucky one
  20. There aren't limits really, just don't go extreme. A thread on cover strips here may be useful. Also here For really large thighs I've seen spacers glued in Once again speak with your GML as they are the ones who will be approving your costume ;).
  21. I had noticed the same thing and put it down to artwork touch up. In the behind the scenes video it looks to be all black, the minute glimpse we get of it. The sticker book and pinball images seem to be very close to each other in stance but not exact so who knows, be another one of those wait and see things
  22. Really a question for your GML (garrison membership liaison) some may allow it some may not. Ideally you shouldn't have that much of a gap, have you thought of replacing with larger cover strips, that would look better. Normally we try to put larger cover strips on the back of legs as they are not noticed as much by the public
