  1. Great newsletter again, good job everyone. Thanks Tom "RogueTrooper" for all your hard work.
  2. Looks like they need to research their experts a little more
  3. Anyone happen to catch Auction Kings on Discovery Channel tonight?? They've got a customer that wants to sell some of his Star Wars collectibles. The only thing that caught their eye was the guys TK armor. Turns out the owner of the armor is a former member of the 501st. Had some "expert" come in to appraise it and swears it's made from the original moulds used to make the movie TK's. Some of it seems a little off to me with the wrong ab button colors and all. I'm guessing maybe an old FX kit. Not sure what it went for as the show is still on. I'll see if I can find it online and post a link.
  4. That ring looks awesome. Excited for you to get it, can't wait to see pics
  5. Thanks for getting back with me guys. The back are free floating, only held down with the thin elastic strap per EI reqirements and the front are glued down. The portion that is bugging me though is where the bridge glues to the chest piece. The chest has that area where it curves outward and down towards the shoulder and the strap doesn't follow that same contour. I just haven't seen many with that type of gap.
  6. Ok, looking for opinions to repair shoulders that drive me nuts when I see them in photos. Not sure if it's something that all encounter or if it's an AM thing or if it's just something I overlooked. On what i'm going to call the shoulder bridges, they don't lay flat and follow the countour of the chest piece. Here's some photos, but not sure how to add pointers with photoshop or anything. Hopefully you can make out what i'm talking about. I thought maybe one of those sealing irons that are used to make return edges, but since i've never used one I didn't know if it would have the effect I was looking for or if something needs to modified in another way to fix this.
  7. These suits are awesome guys. May have to look into making something like this for my 2 year old nephew. When he sees me in costume or any of my pics i'm known as "bubby tooper".
  8. Excited for you, can't wait to see you get your build started.
  9. Sweet, nice to see you've started your build Perkeo.
  10. Congrats
  11. I agree Cool car, we needs more pics
  12. Yay, congrats on being our number 300. Welcome to the club.
  13. Yay, glad to see you've been able to get back to your build. Looks like we'll be trooping together in no time. Looking good, keep up the good work.
  14. Not so sure i'd have wanted to be a TK had that prototype been the actual one used. Just not appealing.
  15. Once again, great newsletter, look forward to reading it every month. Congrats to the troop and trooper of the month.
  16. Congrats on the EI achievement and good luck on your centurion approval.
  17. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone. Hope you all had a nice holiday. Kind of funny, don't think i've gotten this much Star Wars stuff since I was about 8 years old, AWESOME!!!!
  18. SWEET. Glad we'll still be trooping together, you were one of the first to guide me to the legion after all.
  19. Congrats and best of luck on the new garrison.
  20. Thanks for the help guys, ill head in over there.
  21. Hey all, I saw in the monthly FISD letter that no new attaches have been added this past month and were looking for volunteers. Wasn't sure what all was involved in this (couldn't find a thread based on this topic anyway). So, just wondering what it's all about and was considering volunteering myself up for this.
  22. Look forward to reading these every month. Congrats to the "troop" and "trooper" of the month. Awesome job gettting all those TK variations approved, amazing. I see that no new attache's have been added to the ranks. Not sure how many are allowed from a single garrison, but i'll volunteer myself up for this.
  23. Wow, you're really going to town on that new armor. You'll have it done in no time. BTW, I think I may have Susie talked into doing a costume too. I started looking into "Commander" stuff today. Not sure if it'll happen or not, but it's a start anyway.
