  1. I'm probably in the minority..but I still prefer the TFA lid. Must be the ROTJ TK fan in me- love a nice fat black frown! Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  2. ROTJ guys were pretty grubby in some Endor scenes.... Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  3. ROTJ is great for these. My favourite has always been this guy, far right. With that droopy brow trim, he looks so sad!( and he should be super happy seeing as he's just inherited a bowcaster!) Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  4. Foam 'leaf' and nothing else. If it works, it works! Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  5. Just thinking out loud here...but would there be enough grounds to split the ROTJ CRL into two versions? Along similar lines to the ANH-S and ANH-H? The guys on the Deathstar, and the Landing pad had a good number of differences to the Grunts on Endor(lets call them 'stunts'?) For example- DS guys were all shiny clean, bubble lenses, all holsters, all Thermal Dets; Endor guys were weathered, had flat lenses and a lot of them (too many IMO to be accidental omissions) had missing holsters, missing Dets, or were missing both. 6. Great to see another ROTJ!! Although I'd usually advocate studying the CRL for new builders, in this case I'd recommend not doing so for the reasons already mentioned. I built mine years ago..and even back then the CRL was wonky. Best bet is to do as suggested and follow any recent EIB/Cent threads for advice. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  7. Congrats..and welcome to the ranks! Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  8. I have bubbles in both my ROTJ TK and my TIE. Honestly..you get used to them. Saying that..the TK is much easier to see out of than the TI is. Different makers will yield different results. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  9. Honestly..as maligned as they are..I delibrately chose to do ROTJ over ANH. They are just so rare a sight, despite being on basically every piece of official merch for decades. And they do have a quirky charm about them.. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  10. Not handy at the minute...the FO is packed up and in storage..but I should have a chance to dig him out by the weekend. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  11. Zombie that sucker up! I did exacty that. Old fx kit...ordered a few B grade parts-helmet, thermal det etc-from another vendor(RWA)..dremeled the heck out of everything, painted and cleared it.It was actually great fun to do and got a great reaction at a recent Con. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  12. Yeah I kept mine seperate too. Knee gaskets popper to thighs and shins, Shoulder and elbows are sewn together and worn almost like a jacket. Means I just wear a tshirt and leggings as a base layer. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  13. I always found this pic helpful in showing folks the differences in lids...(apologies for not crediting the maker) As the ONLY non-ANH/S Imperial TK in my Garrison it's a handy visual aid to explain why my suit looks "crap"...it's supposed to! Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  14. I mean I couldnt find any fault with his service..ie he was a pleasure to deal with. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  15. I recently got a few B-grade pieces off of RWA. Can't fault the service..and the pieces themselves-lets just say these B grades are better than some other vendors "A" material... Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  16. Great work so far, fellow ROTJ! I used E6000 on my CFO kit..still holding up even after 6(?) years. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  17. Maybe cos it causes cancer?? Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  18. I've used E6000 on practically all my builds too..and haven't had any real issues. My ROTJ TK is going on 6 or 7 years old and still holding up strong. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  19. Weathering is a tricky one. You just know there are plenty of folks out there will go overboard and end up making Sandies look clean! Photo refs or very specific text descriptions would be ideal. Also..the weathering for certain troopers would need to follow a very specific technique imo. The FOs who raided the village in TFA returned to base with a very specific style of weathering which IMO would need to be emmulated by the applicant. Some of the Endor TKs were filthy too..one or two would give Sandies a run for their money. That'd be another tricky one to balance. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  20. Very interesting, thanks!! As a CFO EIB..I'm most interested in how many of us there are. Last time I looked thru the Legion stats..there were fewer than 50 ROTJs..some of who will have been modded ANH stylee. Quite a high percentage of EIBs and Cents considering... Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  21. As a proud ROTJ I must disagree profusely! WE are the sloppiest TKs ever! Have you seen the state of the guys on Endor?! [emoji14] Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  22. Good stuff! Re: the FO lid question...is it possible to split the anovos options into the standard line and the Premier line ?
  23. I like it..esp her executing her own troops to cover her tracks..but I still think the version we got is a smidge better-if only for the way it leaves us wondering if she is try dead. I can see her reapperaing after falling into the fire fully armoured...but surviving a cannon blast at point blank range? Not so sure. Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  24. Loving the FO patch-deffo down for a few of those...any chance of a tshirt too? Sent from my SM-J320FN using Tapatalk
  25. Hi folks. So..I have a pretty old, pretty beat up old FX armour that has lived on a mannequin the past few years. Bought it years ago but never got round to doing anything with it. It'd be too much work to bring it up to clearable standard for a regular TK..or even TD..but I've toyed with the idea of zombifying it. How far can one go with regards to damage and missing components and still get cleared? I'll need to pick up a new lid to "wreck" (the mannequin is wearing an old MR) as well as boots..but can I get away with out a thermal det for example? The OG FX one is pretty junk....
