  1. attach the poppers/snaps Assemble the strap to the holster like in ANH although you can cheat & use a rivet instead of sewing Pop your gun in & your good to go, well nearly as it still needs attaching to a belt
  2. Assemble the holster straps with rivet's mark out where your retaining strap is going to be & cut at an angle Cut a strap out & trim to the desired shape
  3. Next you'l need some smaller lengths of leather, preferabley not dyed through! Pop some hole's into these & so!
  4. Using a back stich hand sew the thing together This hopefully give's the impresion of being sew on a machine??? & if done well enough ppl wont believe it's not It's hand sewn because asking a machine to sew through over six mil of leather is a very tall order or a very expensive machine.
  5. remove the double adhesive cover & match the two sides up Pop this onto a sewing machine Hand punch using the machine, through each pre-marked indentation
  6. Measure regular intervals down the line Make a small indentation at the intervals
  7. mark out the pouch bit, I start with the outside left edge & continue using that as my straight edge. Mark out & cut your pocket design Turn it over & add a strip of double sided adhesive tape
  8. This was asked a while back, So I thought I'd offer to show how I occasionally make them. I'm going to omit dimension's as lots of ppl have different type's of E-11 but there's often a ruler in the pic which may help out? Either way I suggest you make a paper/plastic sheet template based on your own gun, before cutting anything expensive, aslo depending on the thickness of the leather that can tend to throw any global "fixed" template measurments out. Firstly buy Some good leather mark out your base measurments Cut out your rectangle PS It's pic intensive but I'll leave the images supersized as it may be clearer to those following it?
  9. Well done Billy, well done son, well done Billy let's have another...... opp's sorry wrong chant
  10. if you send the foam over to me I can let you know
  11. Could be? or possibly an just illusion down to the ammount of flex the original plastic used could give, bending the return edge out of site as the chest is anchored to the abdo. I'm sure Paul will have a better answer
  12. Thanks for alerting me to the prob link fixed
  13. I considered adding to one of the existing topic's of boot's but there was a couple of threads & was'nt sure if this deserved one on it's own . I found these after a little more than 10 seconds supafast searching google UK there are a pair that work out at $24 that are available in black & look OK? & there is a pair in brown & size specific but work out at only $13 but your gunna need to paint them anyway regardless ------- look in the bagain basement link these are both brand new boots & the first in the search results that was listed, the UK economy is so poor right now there are some serious bargains to to be had. If R&R is'nt the place you want to go to? maybe search the brands listed above as there probably just as cheap in other UK outlet's?
  14. AFIK when the UK Fire retardent laws changed so did the nature of Foam, unfortunatly the only thing I've ever been able to source is the blue, grey & occasionally the white stuff which all tend to be quite dense foam & not suitable at all. I'm interested too, if another UK trooper can source some new but original type stuff? but suspect it may need to be imported <_< I could be wrong
  15. Looks good Will you also be darkening the lenses? just curious
  16. Perhaps this should be in the Tip's & how too Section with several pic's of it being done on a TK lid with the before , the method & after shots? or risk fading into the "have to search for" section I'm sure there a couple of troopers here who would like to refresh their Old yellowing lid.

  18. These bags really are worth there weight in gold, in fact I have two now , I was just bowled over following the first recommendation I received of it
  19. Wish we had stuff like this in the UK, but sadly we just get stuck with Thesp type's running you around York going from Pub to Pub visiting all the Haunt's that Dick Turpin "supposedly drank in", in retrospect I guess it's not to bad I'm sure I've seen a zombie Tk somewhere on my travels, anyone we know here?
  20. even with the wonky face it sure does look like a relative of an MR based lid
  21. Will you be building a hoth diorama type of setting to compliment the AT AT? this is the thing I built. it looked cool at night with the optics lit but also because the darkness hid the shonky assembly & spray job
  22. Cool project, it's not often you see many model's/props on the forum I once did the big ship with the firbe-optic thingies, that was when I was younger & it was no way near as nice as the kit in your pic's. I had a few other model's/kit's but my my talents were in different directions <_< So how tall does the Revell AT-AT stand when it's completed?
  23. here's one of the threads about this particular item --------- & if memory serves? there was a 2nd thread where a trooper was going to write a review but I'm not sure if anything came of that
  24. Hey Andreas, have you tried adding a darker tone with the Humbrol grey? Very occasionally I'll mix a small batch of one colour from a couple of paint sources as long as their the same base i.e. enamal, then make a test swab to get an acurate "as possible" mix & then apply? it's a bit of messing around initially but it saves time & energy in the long run. Just a thought
