  1. intolerance
  2. Loakes Chelsea boot's are close to screen acurate, especially when their painted
  3. So these would be the Helmet's seen in the Gnarls Barkley Crazy (MTV thing) Video? Tour Lid's! or am I off base ? Also any update's
  4. If it's down to "screen acurate", then it's going to be a short list I'd guess
  5. Would cost be a factor in this equation? pop corn's on the hob
  6. Have you considered the other Maker's & will you go Acurate: Canon? or idealized? Once that descision's made you could work down from there
  7. I'm sure it will look good as new when you have finished it infact better than it come's as standard good luck with the mod's!
  8. looking forward to the light being right & seeing pic's
  9. Slightly OT & not stock related but here's some fun you can have with an MR E-11. POW POW Pm sent on the stock removal info
  10. The MR Stock can be enginered to function with some work, guess you'l need to take it off to get the sterling stock on, so you could buy both & try both options A win win scenario, one big GOOD thing thats got option's. you may have to touch up the paint work on the MR afterwards but that's no bad thing IMHO reading back I've probably been no help at all buy them both & be a pioneer
  11. You could just get the MR & then get the MR stock to work, if your going to strip it down anyway! If you were to do anything aside from display it, I'd look into altering the scope mounting bracket screw as it's as fragile as fragile get's, in my experience hope this help's
  12. Cool Pic's , look's like it was a real hoot love the helmet line up too
  13. Not sure about differences across the movies but in ANH I have read there were two types used at least, I'm sure there are other ppl here who know more on the subject than me though In ANH I count 9 rib's on the front of the hero's & 14 on the back, shoot me down if I'm wrong though
  14. Thanks Noel , I'll be waiting on standby for update post
  15. I'm definitely interested, love to have an SE edition in the collection
  16. Im my brief experience very true, nice dry warn day's are the one's I waited for, also the other factors mentioned above add to differing degrees of peelyness.
  17. Hello B the setup look's real good So what's on the belt B, I'm curious too?
  18. Thanks darrel, I was begining to think it was just me who just can't paint straight Thanks Paul excellent advise as always the Lid's come along now in leaps & bounds today with the handy hint's
  19. After an extensive search through the forum's topic's & being unable to find this answer, does anyone have any tip's on the best way to recreate the detailing that would be seen on another helmet? I am no artist & lack many skill's but am sure there must be guy's here that have tried this & have tip's following their attempt's. I have lot's of reference pic's, have a tiny brush, correct paint & am taking it as slowly as humanly possible. I can sort out the frown without prob's but it's the traps & helmet back N' cap that are giving me prob's with the black outline & grey inner that are alway's way off! Anybody?
  20. look's real good , The colour match between the Lid & Armor really work's well, great stuff.
  21. Hi DD, You need to cut more from the front off the ear than the back, as in pic's 6-7 of the first post. If you also add the correct screw's to the earcaps this pull's the entire ear section in, the helmet backpiece will also give a little. There should be no more a perceivable slant than you would find on a T*E or Gino lid if done well IMHO. hope this help's
  22. Look's good Scott , do you have pic's of the front elevation too??
  23. Just seen this on the box, is there a new format of the franchise due to come out? if it's old please delete
  24. Oh,that´s enough?I must cut nothing from this parts(orange markings)? Sorry Mark I havn't explained myself clearly, Yes the plastic marked in the orange gets cut away aswell And what decals are you using for the blue stripes on the tubes?Or are they painted?I´ve stripes from trooperdecals.com,but under direct daylight, they are looking more violet as blue. The Tube stripes are hand painted using Humbrol mediterranean blue & electrical tape as wide guide's as in post 1 & the original stripes as rough templates to paint over. hope this helps
  25. There's been a few MRLE's amonst the pile but not many. Well I never knew there was an appeal for licenced stuff guess you learn something new everyday & I thought I'd been in the hobby a while now
