  1. http://www.whitearmor.net/eib/ I'm still missing a photo...
  2. Saw this today and wanted to share. Hope it's not a re-re-re-re-re-post...-----------
  3. I used pop-rivets to secure the plastic belt to the canvas belt (with washers on the back side) and then used heavy duty snaps to connect the belt to the ab plate. I suggest using Dritz size 24 heavy duty snaps and make sure you get the Dritz 24p snap tool for those snaps. Just google "Dritz 24P Heavy Duty Plier Kit for Heavy Duty Snaps".
  4. There's tutorials that go into some fairly serious detail about it. -----------
  5. One of my best mates, who is not only one of my band's crew, but he's part of my wedding in April, found out he has diabetes just before Thanksgiving 2011. He had two toes removed and they had to cut his leg open to remove some of the infection. He walked for the fist time since November, last week. May they find a cure soon!
  6. I love my AM kit that I got from Mighty Tank! It camed trimmed, and I had to do was tailor the arms and legs down to my body size and it fits and looks great!
  7. Please accept my apologies for the hand plates being on the wrong hands. I just had my fiance' snap a quick photo and wasn't paying attention, but I think I am close to purcashing a 2nd set of armor to weather/destroy to start work on a death trooper. Got some hands in that may work, so I figured I'd do a nice bit of hand modeling! he he he
  8. Thanks Jose! Looks like I'm about to assist two new recruits in buying, building and getting their armor up to the same level or higher!
  9. Absolutely! Well worth the time and effort! Very happy!
  10. That's absolutely fantastic!! Thank you very much! It's an honor!
  11. Good planning Carlos! Keep us updated with pics and have fun with your build!
  12. My AM kit actually fits very well. It closes together on both sides without needing shims. It was perfect as is. I read about trimming the chest and back for centurion, but it fits me as is as well. If I were to remove anything from the chest or back, it would leave a gap.
  13. ha ha! Yes sir! Enjoying reading your posts Pat! We should put your show to some of my music: http://www.youtube.com/rivetheadtx
  14. One more pic. I forgot to post a full back photo. This one was taken before I assembled the rear of the shins correctly, so I cropped them out.
  15. Thanks for the kind words fellas! I was a bit concerned with removing the return edge on the backs of the thighs, if I removed any more material. I already removed about 1" from the front. Is that typical, to remove it and then add back a return edge with the modeling iron? If so, I can definitely get back to cutting, but I was told to try putting a bit of foam in the back of my thigh and that helped reduce and clacking between the sniper plate and thigh. I can definitely add the elastic to the back plate to keep it down. I trimmed down the biceps, so I just fit in them when I flex. I know they look big in a couple of the photos, and by all means I'm not saying I've got massive biceps, but where they are now, if I'm not wearing a shirt and I put them on, it looks like I just got in a fight with a cat. he he he I knew there was some discussion about the AM chest needing to be removed/modded, but I just got stormtrooper status yesterday, so I wasn't able to read any of the discussions. I went into this whole thing by the available materials I could find and the CRLs. That's why I did not know that the bottom rivet should be covered by the belt until after I had evenly spaced out the three I have in there now. Doh! It's been a total pleasure working on this kit! I've thoroughly enjoyed the process of digging through the site and finding as much as I can. At times, I was iPad in one hand and a metal ruler and exacto knife in the other. Gotta love the 36000 glue! I've stick, peeled, cut and stuck again to get this kit rugged! Thanks again for taking the time to pass on the advice! I really appreciate it and the kind words!
