  2. Hi guys, perhaps this question has been asked before, but i couldnt find a thread about it. Whats the correct size split rivet to use for the cod? Is it the same size as the rivets used on the side of the ab and kidney plate? Any help would be appreciated, thanks again guys....
  3. Dude..thats crazy how you could do that. How much of the thighs and ankle did you have to trim? You got a picture of you standing up? Awesome looking armor by the way.....
  4. thats what i found so far, and if the goggles are thin enough, they should work.. thanks Julie
  5. Thats true... I wonder if theres a way to make prescription lenses and mount it straight to the bucket...
  6. Congratulations dude..... Those look really awesome.
  7. The bucket fits me fine, i have plenty room in there, its just the glasses usually pokes me in the eye every time i move. So i was browsing around, perhaps this could work for us troopers with glasses, it doesnt cost so much, so im gonna try it and let you guys know, perhaps it could be a solution for us glasses troopers. ..... http://www.zennioptical.com/?prescription_type=single&frm_type%5B%5D=836&nav_cat_id=2&navused=1
  8. Ive never worn contacts, but probably wont give it a try because i dont think i have the discipline to keep things clean. i guess its just something i have to get use to then.. but i was wondering if glasses like oakley's would work, those glasses that actually hugs your eyes... maybe something like this, but made into prescription glasses
  9. That's true Frank. A kid was standing in front of me and i couldnt even see him. I do have an RS bucket, but didnt really use it for trooping, i just used my AP, and with padding in the helmet, it really doesnt leave much room in the helmet.
  10. Hi Guys, so last night i took my niece and nephew out for trick or treating, unfortunately it was night time, so already it was hard to look where i was going. i wear glasses so its even harder to wear inside the bucket. So i ended up tripping over a little boy, knocked over a trash can, and falling down more a few time, I'm very surprised that my armor was able to take that much beating... but as far as seeing goes, very minimal, i even used smaller glasses but just ended up poking into my eyes. i was wondering if any troopers have had any problems like this, especially those of you who wear glasses...how did you guys solve this problem? Thanks. Reza

  15. I dont own one right now, hopefully sometime soon....but if you want most accurate, RS is the way to go, i have their hdpe helmet, and its worth every penny. Plus Rob & Si are awesome to deal with, no hassle whatsoever...hope that helps..
  16. Sorry if I've post this in the wrong place, but ive been searching around for an extra belt square. When i bought my kit, it only came with 2 squares. I'm hoping to apply for EIB so i really need the third. I have an AP kit and have tried to contact Mark but still no word. So if any of you guys have an extra they're not using, please let me know. Thanks guys... Reza

  20. Thanks guys, couldn't be happier .... will look into the biceps to make it tighter, the problem is that they were put together using ABS weld so its going to be hard to tear open.....
  21. TK 50105 reporting for duty..... So i finally finished my armor, submitted my application, and within a few hours...... Approved... I would like to personally thank all you troopers for getting me here.... here are a few things ive done to the armor since my last post, 1. trimmed the chest plate and gave it a return edge. 2. added 6 split rivets on the left side on ab and kidney plate. 3. added a male snap on the right side of the torso 4. use white elastic to connect the chest and back plate 5. added white elastic band to hold down the shoulder strap on the back. 6. holster from Darman (attached to belt with chicago screws) 7. Hyperfirm e11 for Lewis , with D ring added(this thing is a work of art, i love it...thank you lewis) 8. attached knee ammo with rivets 9. rear shin overlap fixed, now facing inward. 10. added two male snaps on the crotch of the butt plate anyways, enough talking and more pics.... Spiderman took my blaster... never thought i would be able to do this.... Next on my agenda is getting my EI badge and joining the ranks...a few more things i have to do to get there, 1. get rubber gloves and latex hand guards 2. remove rivets from sniper knee plate 3. get more accurate boots that actually fit me 4. get another square for belt, if you notice from the pics, i only have two. ive contacted Mark but no word, so if anyone out there has an extra, please let me know, because i really need one... Again i would like to thank you all for all you help and comments.....FISD rules... Regards, Reza
