  1. Hey dude Just used SunLu PLA+ Haven’t really worn it that much to be fair - Been spending more time in other cosplays - but I had it out start of the year after being in a box for about 6 months and no issues
  2. Having bought that one, it’s very small…very small. Also the shiny area rubs off very easily. You’re better off getting some shiny shorts from Teresa
  3. UKG Member here. Looks like you’re all good to go if you’ve uploaded your clearance pics
  4. As one of the 3 FOTKs at celebration I might say there’s possibly a couple of answers for that Perhaps before DN starting shipping kits after Anovos failed, there wasn’t a huge number of places to go to get FO armour. You had Jim’s which is heavy and needs work to be super accurate. KB and some other ABS kits that weren’t super crisp. Personally I went the 3d printed route and let me tell you, there is a sh1t ton more work involved in that than there is filling one seam on a shoulder. I’m am also one of only 18 FOTS, in the 501st and that is even more down to lack of suppliers. There isn’t the love for FO armour as there is for standard TKs because it’s a harder suit to wear and there isn’t the love for the sequels that there is for the OT
  5. 3d printed TLJ trooper from the UKG reporting in. Adding a TK to my ESB Vader and First Order Snowie. Going to be a learning curve as it’s my first full set of armour
  6. Just gonna add some advice/observations out from someone who has done this The tolerance for the black sections is tiny. When I was trying to refit my teeth/tears it was a nightmare. I had to sand back everything to the base plastic. That was after this happened though This meant buying a whole new lid just to get that piece. The top tabs can be removed/sanded off as it stays in place without needing them. I managed to get the black sections back on but probably could have sanded the paint back more to get a much closer fit. There are some very small gaps on mine, but I’d have to point them out for you to notice. I ditched the black inserts on the cheeks and used some 1.5mm styrene cut to shape and then added vinyl on top. The black section running around the bottom is not uniform in height. If you have a template then you’ll be in a good place I used a straight strip on black vinyl and then had to pull it quite tight near the front to stop it overlapping. Overall I feel it’s a budget friendly way of getting a TLJ specific lid, it’s just a bit scary along the way. Denuo Novo lid is three times as much and doesn’t seem to have the right clip.
  7. Ready to join the FISD Ranks please https://www.501st.com/members/displaymemberdetails.php?userID=22340
  8. Thanks all. Shows it can be done if you’d like to go down that route
  9. I’ve just finished my 3d printed version using a BS lid. It was a lot of work, mostly as no one else has really built it. The files for some sections have been updated as well If I were to do it again I would know the pitfalls and be able to make life easier
  10. Other than the lid and pauldron, all 3d printed on my CR-10s
  11. Modified BS lid I added the rear groove by cutting a 1.5 piece of styrene at the height needed from the black section. Stuck that on with double sided tape. Then VERY CAREFULLY went round with a needle file and kept going until the desired depth After painting I added black vinyl in the recess running round the bottom Pauldron from Trooper Bay with added vinyl
  12. Forearms all done TFA shape, but separate box and screw added
  13. Yeah the designer I believe has updated the file for that. If I’m brutally honest, this build has been dragging on for 3 years now and I just wanna get it done [emoji1787]
  14. Quick bit of test fitting
  15. Blaster (After the pics, was pointed out I’d put the side detail decal in the wrong place) Just gotta add a d-ring
  16. Chest / Back
  17. After a bit of a break, I’m back on this with a vengeance with the biggest UK Con in just over two weeks Spats
  18. Hijacking a hijacker’s. Modding a BS will be easier Either look at my WIP or a thread I made about the two lids.
  19. With just the abs and lid to go, I plumped for a BS lid
  20. There is a brow piece to go over, once you have sorted all the pieces to fit
  21. Anyone who wants to know more can PM me. All I will say, is that I have purchased a BS lid to modify
