  1. Hey dude Just used SunLu PLA+ Haven’t really worn it that much to be fair - Been spending more time in other cosplays - but I had it out start of the year after being in a box for about 6 months and no issues
  2. 2nd Dec - MCM Birmingham First time in armour since May Forgot how heavy the 3D printed kit was, but how much I enjoy the costume. I picked up an DN kit over the summer so this reminded me I need to get it built.
  3. Having bought that one, it’s very small…very small. Also the shiny area rubs off very easily. You’re better off getting some shiny shorts from Teresa
  4. UKG Member here. Looks like you’re all good to go if you’ve uploaded your clearance pics
  5. 7th May - Royal Selangor - Star Wars Launch Battersea Power Station in London to support the launch of a new range of Star Wars statues Still having dressing issues with my legs and forearms
  6. 27th April - Tanya’s Funeral In May 2018, Tanya was diagnosed with terminal cancer. In August 2019, her twin, Kim, reached out to Albin, and myself, Gary and Tracey visited her at St Joseph’s Hospice for her birthday. After all the fun and games, Tanya looked me square in the eyes and said “Just making sure you guys will be at my funeral” “Lord Vader would be honoured, my Master” I replied COVID came and went In August 2022, we once again visited Tanya for her birthday, played with lightsabers and ate cake. March 2023 came and a message from Kim saying the end was rapidly coming and could we get there….now. Gary was able to drop everything and get there and I sent a video message the same day. On the 31st of March, Tanya became one with The Force. This week, the four of us were able to keep our promise to Tanya and join her on her final journey. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
  7. As one of the 3 FOTKs at celebration I might say there’s possibly a couple of answers for that Perhaps before DN starting shipping kits after Anovos failed, there wasn’t a huge number of places to go to get FO armour. You had Jim’s which is heavy and needs work to be super accurate. KB and some other ABS kits that weren’t super crisp. Personally I went the 3d printed route and let me tell you, there is a sh1t ton more work involved in that than there is filling one seam on a shoulder. I’m am also one of only 18 FOTS, in the 501st and that is even more down to lack of suppliers. There isn’t the love for FO armour as there is for standard TKs because it’s a harder suit to wear and there isn’t the love for the sequels that there is for the OT
  8. 7th April - SWCE23 Crowd control as the lone FOTK on Friday (My GFs first time kitting me up, so ignore the right spat [emoji2958])
  9. 29-30th Oct London MCM First time out in armour. Posted on security gate detail Many rebels were stopped and searched
  10. 3d printed TLJ trooper from the UKG reporting in. Adding a TK to my ESB Vader and First Order Snowie. Going to be a learning curve as it’s my first full set of armour
  11. Just gonna add some advice/observations out from someone who has done this The tolerance for the black sections is tiny. When I was trying to refit my teeth/tears it was a nightmare. I had to sand back everything to the base plastic. That was after this happened though This meant buying a whole new lid just to get that piece. The top tabs can be removed/sanded off as it stays in place without needing them. I managed to get the black sections back on but probably could have sanded the paint back more to get a much closer fit. There are some very small gaps on mine, but I’d have to point them out for you to notice. I ditched the black inserts on the cheeks and used some 1.5mm styrene cut to shape and then added vinyl on top. The black section running around the bottom is not uniform in height. If you have a template then you’ll be in a good place I used a straight strip on black vinyl and then had to pull it quite tight near the front to stop it overlapping. Overall I feel it’s a budget friendly way of getting a TLJ specific lid, it’s just a bit scary along the way. Denuo Novo lid is three times as much and doesn’t seem to have the right clip.

  13. Thanks all. Shows it can be done if you’d like to go down that route
  14. I’ve just finished my 3d printed version using a BS lid. It was a lot of work, mostly as no one else has really built it. The files for some sections have been updated as well If I were to do it again I would know the pitfalls and be able to make life easier
