  1. Does the ab button change mean th center plate and the one to the right has to have been molded with buttons? No form of separate buttons, abs or metal are allowed for Cent?
  2. Clarification may be needed, he says they are. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/topic/16842-vaderdave-tk-ab-button-kits-are-back/page-5
  3. Top notch man keep it up.
  4. Where does one obtain the latex rubber to mix with the paint? I have a DLT-19 I would like to touch up (want to take some of the mold seams off and smooth them out) using the instructions above. Also want to add some additional dry-brush highlights. Would I just use an acrylic silver for that and then seal with the matte acrylic sealer? Thanks!
  5. So first new question. For the forearms. It's my understnading that there should be no return edge on the front near the hands. What about the backside near the elbow? There is a bit of a return there now, should that be sanded off?
  6. I'm busy updating my AM suit and will need some guidance for a few pointed questions along the way. Here's my original approval pics in 2011. I've since ditched the FX lid for an MKT. http://www.whitearmo...ed-tk-anh-stunt Some were answered here (http://www.whitearmo...strip-question/), but I plan to post any additional questions in this thread. What I am planning and working on for the updates - New RT Mod thighs as mine were cut too short by the previous owner. Assembling these with strips rather than the overlap. - Strips. I plan to update the whole kit with strips rather than the overlapping joints. - Trim bottom of chestplate and the backplate following pandartroopers tutorial (http://www.whitearmo...-build-threadam) - While adding strips to the arms I will be making them smaller so there is a better fit. They are a little big and I've been using padding to fill them out. - Shoulder bells .. some reshaping and possibly some trimming. - Some trimming and reshaping of the butt plate - New O2 cannister eliminating the AM "stand offs." Already have some accurate aluminum clips / holders. - New belt .. mine is getting pretty ratted out and it's not the right width. - Repair on chest plate. Just below my right shoulder strap there is a melted spot. Previous owner left it too close to a lamp. Hard to see when out and about, but I want to fix it just the same with the "ABS paste" trick. - Canvas shoulder straps under the ABS - Add backs to the drop boxes - snaps and rivets added where needed on the torso armor - snaps and strap between cod and butt - Add rubber handplates
  7. I know this *may* not put me in the majority, but "screen accurate" to me means accurate to what I SAW on the screen in '77 and beyond not what the camera saw when the film was being shot. That's what I shoot for in my builds, to achive the look of what was seen on screen. The other option, as you've noted, is to get out the duct tape and have at it.
  8. As with many things from Sw it looks like there are screen examples of both configurations.
  9. Thanks. I used a hobby iron to smooth the edges on the bottom so they line up properly. Not sure what to do about that gap though as I've already glued the strip in back. Thanks for the info.
  10. Dumb question. Do the strips on the thighs go all the way to the bottom or do they stop at the lower lip? Showing the front here, but same question applies to the back. Thanks!
  11. I printed the list of available numbers at the time and handed it off to my then 7-year old daughter giving her the power to "name the TK." She started out picking a list of ten then put them in rank order of preference .. whatever caught her eye. When I was approved I was assigned the first one on her list. That number is burned into her memory .. she rattles it off as fast as she can say "Dad."
  12. Wait I see it! It's a schooner!
  13. Looks awesome this is my next costume I think
  14. The Georgia Garrison is buckets off for all of you that made this happen. Great work folks! ---------------
  15. I must be blind, what is the email address / website for this seller? Thanks!
  16. That one is me .. I've told a few people this but I'm pretty sure I'll never look that cool again, ever.
  17. East Atlanta Strut .. wow what a blast. Me with the flag, later holding the calendar and another terminating a friend of mine. One of our younger troopers was lucky enough to be in the photos with the girl. Good times.

    Who are we?

I tell people I'm part of the thin white line that protects civilization from the furries.
  19. Now for sale -----------
  20. I do apprecaite the offer, but I have three boxes of comics collecting dust around here already!
  21. Just to be clear I'm keeping the fans and wireless unit. Already moved the fans to my new MKT.
  22. AM/FX - I plan to sell it with all the padding and the mic though I am keeping the fans and wireless transceiver. It has flat green lenses and I'm going to include a set of smoked bubble lenses as well. They have velcro around the edges and are interchangeable. I just don't know what these go for
