    my new ride

You're desthpicable! <_< Gorgeous ride though.
  2. I am so snowed under with work I probably won't get a chance to see it until Labor Day weekend, if then.
  3. Donation sent. Status update please.
  4. The problem is would we want to see the pictures of trooper drawers for those applying for Elite status?
  5. This is sooooo niiiccceee. I have black armor and have been a bit shy to play with it. This may give me the impetus to dive into the box containing the toys.
  6. This is wonderful news.
  7. Would using an old butter knife help with flexing once the part comes out of the freezer? I bought a few from the Salvation Army and use them as "helpers" for other projects.
  8. Titanium donation sent.

    Gas prices

I have a V8 SUV, use it for work. It is comfortable for my trips and I can pile in large briefcases and boxes. I am averaging $600 per month in fuel costs. I have thought about trading it for something else, but it is the first vehicle I have had in a long time which does not have any engine or electrical problems. It is five years old. I do baby it with regular oil changes, tire rotations and fuel injector cleanings. Right now, it's a keeper.
  10. My prayers are with your family. Remember one thing, make sure you take care of yourself while taking care of your wife. It is important to eat properly and get some rest inorder to take care of those we love. This is advice from a continuing education student in the school of hard knocks.
  11. What a find! To think I have seen the movie a gazillion times and never spotted the C-38. A couple should look good nestled in my lightsaber and Star Wars books collections.
  12. I am speechless before the skill of the master. What a beautiful rebuild.
  13. What a beautiful helmet. You did a really great job.
  14. Keep the helmet on, take care of yourself and let yourself heal.
  15. Clone looks good. Looking forward to progress on TK.
  16. I wish you all the best in securing new employment. I remember the periods when I was unemployed, waiting for interviews and responses to interviews. It's so stresesful. Remember to take care of yourself.
  17. Would placing an ice bag on the glue you want to remove work?
  18. Fan arrived today. I plan to install it in my CE bucket.
  19. The heavy duty snaps tend to come in one size. The snaps need a little jig which you can buy with a container of snaps. You will need a hammer. I have had no success with the pliers the fabric stores sell for snaps. Besides banging with a hammer is more fun.
  20. I prefer snaps as I do not have to drill holes for the rivets into the armor. For my suspenders, I used both snaps and velcro. I sewed velcro onto the straps and glued industrial velcro around the snap tab I had glued to the armor. Works well for me. You can get industrial snaps at Home Depot and Lowe's or another or hardware store. You can get heavy duty snaps at a fabric store like Hancock Fabrics or Joann's.
  21. I would suggest you read the threads on the board. The vast majority of the how tos contain step by step instructions, many with photos, on how to put a kit together. I am all thumbs, knew nothing about velcro or any glue but white glues. Slowly but surely my TK kit I have made it fit me quite comfortably. Ask questions of the members of the board. You will receive an answer.
  22. Wow! I was wondering how to deal with the brow. I just started to remove it the other night after breaking an ear. Replacement ears are being handled. Although I am an army of all thumbs, the pictures and directions you posted should allow me to handle this task with relative ease. Thanks a million.
  23. Thank you very much. Now I won't look like shabby trooper when I get the kit all together.
