  1. It's a Sci-Fire E-11... and it's awesome. The counter pops off easily enough as I'm sure the cylinders will.

    Awesome! Thanks!

  4. I'll post mine here as soon as it's done!
  5. And it still has sand all over it, right? (oh no... darn it... that's just "us"...)
  6. Sweet! Thanks! That means I just have to remove the power cylinders from the top of the ammo case and I'm good to go with my E-11! (what about the D ring? still has it... right?)
  7. Saving this post for more pictures later.
  8. Okay, this is going to be my build thread. It's still a while off before much will be posted... but I have some pieces starting to arrive, so... HERE... WE... GO!!!! Here's my holster from Anrev. It's very, very nice!!! So, question and I think I've asked this before but what are the differences between the ANH E-11 and the ESB E-11? I need specifics!
  9. I use storage container lids to put as connectors on my sides and in one calf. Works great.
  10. There's not really any one way to do it. Some people "trim" the green lens so that it fits the shape of the eyes, some put it in how it was originally put in, all wonky and "sort of" in there. I opted for the 2nd option. Mine is simply taped in on the sides with blue painter's tape. The lens just (kind of) goes across the eyes and there's a pretty big gap on both side. I don't have a pic of mine (yet) but----- Hope that helps.
  11. Pretty much. I understand being excited and "jonsing" for armor. But most of what has been answered and talked about here are already other places on the forums. Many are numerous places. SO yeah... well said.
  12. You really need to spend more time looking through the forums!!!!
  13. Lots of good advice on here already and RougeTrooper posted the links I was going to post... so good job there man. Basically your idea here — selling your Rubies and getting something different — is the thing I'd say to do. To make the Rubies ANH would be next to impossible. And the work you have to do on it to make it anything acceptable (replacing the helmet, etc., etc.) isn't worth the $$ you'd have to spend. Not when you can possibly recoup your cost on buying it from selling it and then spend a little more on accurate armor. My other advice... stay away from "the 'Bay!" And... don't get FX armor! There's far too many good sets of armor out there now that are affordable! Have a look at my armor 101 page to get a quick run down. And then spend the next week on here (the FISD) reading and searching every thread of every forum to learn all you can!!! There's a TON of info on here and most all of your questions have been answered other places. I know you don't know that because you're new... but that's what the forums are here for... new guys.
  14. Ah man... yeah, this stuff will give you an Imperial sized ulcer if you let it! Just know that it can work out! Take it slow from here on out. I'd put another strip on top of that one so it's covered.
  15. YAY! Post on MEPD too brother! Oh... you did.
  16. We may have to steal this for a "how to" on the MEPD man!
  17. TE2, AP, or TM... And GOOD JOB on selling that... thing...
  18. is patrolling the sands of Tatooine.

  19. Yes, doing good here! This new little system is fun... leaving comments on other's "walls" I mean.

  20. Actually YES! I looked and looked for that online earlier to post on here. That's what I carry my sandtrooper in. The entire thing, minus the helmet, fits and I strap the pack around the handle and am good to go. Gun, shoes, everything. And I have my sides riveted together! Great bin. Small... but big.
  21. FedEx / UPS. Let them pack it and ship it... it's there when you're there. A bit more $$ but secure, insured, and no worries. If you're traveling with Vader armor you just wear it and tell the flight attendants that you have oxygen and have to wear the suit.
  22. Looks great. Are you gonna post on the MEPD too?
  23. I store mine in my armor bin. Sometimes I store it where I took it off last. Or sometimes laying all over the work bench in my shed. In other words, it really doesn't matter where. It's gonna be pretty tough and as long as you're not shoving it in a box and putting it under a dripping faucet in a moldy basement it will be fine. Not a dumb question at all though dude! I remember wondering the SAME THING!
