  1. I haven't had a single notification in 2 days. Maybe that's why there are 5 EIB Applications waiting? Or they are just busy. Understandable as this isn't anyone's full time job. How cool would that be though?
  2. Although I'm sure I'd be warm enough with some extra clothes under the armor, with all the snow that we've got I'm not going to risk it. Almost slipped and fell just walking to get the mail. Last thing I need is to take a spill while in armor. That could get kinda expensive. Thanks for all the input.
  3. Just noticed I missed a picture of my right shoulder strap. So that's been added now.
  4. I had a lot of fun the one day I was able to attend. Really enjoyed the exhibit as well. Looking forward to more trooping in Edmonton.
  5. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea. Gets kinda chilly up here in winter.
  6. Thanks, I had that tattoo in mind for quite some time. Just had to wait to get approved and get my TK number.
  7. Oh I have the long underwear all set out to wear under the black suit. Thanks for the input. I'll give it a try then.
  8. Just curious how the armour holds up to colder temperatures. Don't want anything to crack. Was going to take my daughter out trick or treating but I'll leave the armour at home if there is a chance it'll crack or the E6000 let's go. Anyone spend time outside in say minus 10 Celsius?
  9. Nice armour. Good luck with your application.
  10. Just for proof I ran downstairs, threw on the left boot, rolled up my pant leg, strapped on the left thigh and here's the way it usually looks from behind. Behold the power of the Blackberry Phone Camera. Hope it isn't too bad. I just want to show that the hole isn't visible.
  11. Ah yes, I see the left Shin. These pictures were taken after returning from a Halloween party. That hole you can see at the bottom of the left shin was an attempt to use the hook method of closing. After that failure I switched to velcro. When properly closed that hole isn't visible. I can redo a picture of the left shin if required. The thighs do come down more. Just had them up too high. I'll await word about the holster to see if it'll effect the approval. Thanks for the input!
  12. I think you may have answered your own question. A single male snap on the top right corner of the ab plate. Not kidney plate. Nothing that can't be fixed. Good luck with your EIB application, I submitted mine today. Oh the suspense!

    ranks?

It's based on how many posts you make.
  15. I'm pretty self sufficient as well, usually just need some help with the belt. Aligning it with the velcro I have running around the back, and then attaching the O2 Canister. Other than that the rest I can get on and done up. That being said there are usually others around to help. Don't be afraid to ask.
  16. I have 1 fan in my helmet. Keeps everything from fogging up and also gives some fresh air as it sucks air in through the mesh frown. Works really well.
  17. Butt join looks better. Might be a little more work but it'll be worth it.
  18. I used them for holding pieces together while waiting for the glue to set. Especially places where clamps wouldn't work.
  19. They are pretty powerful. I dropped one and it broke in 2 pieces, then those 2 pieces went shooting across the floor away from each other. And trying to separate 2 that have slammed together isn't fun. Oh yeah, one more thing. They pinch skin. Really good.
  20. Ahhh. Copy that. Over....
  21. Stairs are fun, have to take them one at a time and only use my right leg going up. Down I can use both. Might do some trimming to left leg to fix this in the future. Can't see your feet. Almost tripped a fellow TK once with my stroller. Saw them coming and I couldn't get out of the way in time. My first troop is in a few days so I might be back with more.
  22. Didn't cast anything. Just put the Doopys kit on and used the scotch tape roll method on the back of the scope. Still want to replace the back rail evenutally with a strip of metal. Figure it'll look even better then. Too bad I clipped a wire somewhere and now there is no pew pewing.
  23. The CRL's state for Expert Infantry that the correct style scope must be present. Just curious if this is the correct style scope? I do have a second blaster built by Pandatrooper and the scope on that one looks a little different but not by much. Basically what I am asking is would the scope on this blaster make the cut or not? -------- Thanks.
  24. Maybe use 2 magnets and then it would be easy to connect with one hand. I used some magnets for the back of my neck cover so it would be easy to connect without being able to see it. For my helmet I used a snap and I usually need someone else to connect it for me.
  25. I used nylon, lots of places I wanted to put the snaps the plastic wasn't flat. With there being a little bit of a curve I figured the nylon would lay flat easier as it would contour to the shape.
