Hi Andy, as Dan says, head over to the UKG and start your work in progress thread, and pop some pics up. You will need to go through the UKG to get your clearance and 501st status. However, some lime to have a WIP on both the UKG, and FISD. Myself, or one of the other armourers will be there to help you on your way

^THIS, THIS, THIS^Hi mate I personally wouldn’t even bother with a sds e11 for one there piss poorly made and the other main reason is that with the big legal battle that went on in the 80s/90s between LFL and AA he’s not aloud to do business in the USA,Read up on the history of LFL/AA.

They look ok mate. It would probably be better to judge if you had a pic with them on.

Can't remember exactly, but I know Argos sell them, here in the UK.
Where did you get your bin from? I like the design.

We need to get it done asap, as we want to get him inducted at MCM Birmingham in November. Very few free days means that the deadline is tighter than we would like.Great progress, Mason. I can’t see this being a long build. ;-)

You can always pull the rubber down above the ears to reduce the gap
Hello! I have a problem with my helmet.
I trim my ears and I noticed a problem. Between rubber eyebrow and ear piece there is a gap.
I tried that ear to the other side and it touched eyebrow. So seems that my helmet backplate piece isn`t symmetrical. Can I fix that and how big problem this is?

Still reviewing the threads concerning sizing down the waistline (Diana's & Chricket's build threads)
A first rough estimate of how much has to go can be seen in this pencil mark:
A bit of that can come of the abdomen plate, but I think the whole part containing the notch has to go. So I will need to redo the notch and cut the but plate a bit to get it to align with the notch.
Go easy with the cutting mate. Little by little.

The plastic can be a real pain to get paint to adhere, so I opted for self adhesive vinyl. A light spray of soapy water and a hair dryer to mold the vinyl.

RS are just down the road from me, visited them a few times. Always love playing with their toys!Hi all,
in late June I started my Stunt build of the RS armour, I am not that far until now. I have cut a few pieces and decided to really start with the Bucket. Here I am rather far.
those picks are a few days old, the helmet is assembled, but I have no current picks. Will post them this evening or tomorrow.
I recently sent a fan system over your way, by any chance was that your order?

Personally I have them blowing diagonally across the face onto the opposing lens

I make the Troopacoola fan systems. Here's a pic of where Iadvise placement of mine. Velcro the actual fans in place. Although this is one of my bespoke variable speed system, the actual placement of the fans I'm assuming can be transferred to Henry's.
The fans are directed across the faceplate towards the opposing lenses.

Hi!
What kind of fans are you using? Are they from a vendor or are they a self build?

Correct! And welcome Gavin!Hello and Welcome to FISD
I think you can contact one of our UKG's Imperial Attaches before you start:
Chris@themaninthesuitcase
Marc@CTID

Hi mate. Congratulations on your clearance!Hi,I have just got my TK cleared by UKG today.
A few people have suggested I take it further and up to the next level. As I'm keen to be the best I can be, I was told about this site, so here I am.
I have an RWA kit.
Hope to hear from you guys soon
Andy

The UKG punch for the highest levels and base their standards at the centurion level, so there should be very little to do in order to achieve this.
I was the second to get Ross's kit cleared at centurion level. Also being on the UKG armoury team I'm aware of your build, and you shouldn't have any problems
All the best, and good luck!
Marc

A quick update on the lid. Removed the hearing assist and replaced my old TC system with a bespoke chrome one. Also updated my lid bag with my new logo.

The boy is getting closer to a full suit up! Just waiting on the rear of the thighs to set. Then it's onto the shins. Still need to paint the rivets, attach the knee ammo belt, sniper plate and shoulder bridges. The end is in sight though.
