  1. Probably. The first thing to remove to be able to cool down.
  2. Only one I could find. By bsac15 at 2012-08-26
  3. No because I think all the original helmets had frown mesh in them
  4. Maybe it was only after they realized that you could see through the frown holes and see the actors faces that they started using them later in the film.
  5. That's it, I'm doing it. Why go to all the effort of having the armour accurate if the facial hair is just wrong.
  6. Those are some awesome mutton chops arne't they. Will they be glued on or will we be able to use rivets
  7. I think the rivets are going to be done away with in the future for Centurion. Those shins look gross. Thats a compliment by the way
  8. I see what you mean about the bowl shape. Very interesting.
  9. Very, very interested in one of these Karin
  10. Another suggestion Keith is to look at other peoples AP Centurion threads to see how they have the knee plate fixed. I found that very helpfull. http://www.whitearmo...hp?showforum=72
  11. This topic is perfect timing for me. I've spent most of the weekend re-fitting a new knee plate on my AP. Some people have managed to do a great job fitting the plate on AP armour but I have no idea how. No matter what, I can't get mine to sit straight or look very good at the sides. You might find this thread helpful Keith. From about page four I think. http://www.whitearmo...showtopic=20646 Good luck.
  12. We be kicking bass all up in ya face.

  13. The whole point is moot now anyway. The point of this thread was for the OP to see if he was EI worthy. Mathias is the DO and he has granted Peter his EI badge. That should be the end of it. If you wish to discuss the problems of butt and kidney overlap then maybe make a thread about that issue. As said by Eric before lets just keep this thread to give Peter our congrats.
  14. Sorry I'm late. Happy belated birthday buddy. Hope it was a good one.
  15. Noted sir. Peter you do look amazing and congratulations on becoming EI
  16. Maybe you could mix the constant constructive criticism with a bit of praise for the points you find to be good Sven. Sometimes, especially in this build it can come accross that you are finding fault with things that there is no fault with. Don't get me wrong, I like how you strive for accuracy but come on. Not every EI submission needs a whole list of things that you feel are not right.
  17. Do you have an action shot Javier. Looking good.
  18. Looks amazing Pete. Really well put together. Good luck.
  19. I didn't mean it like that. I meant I see that point of view and agree with it as it makes better sense than the point I made.
  20. Good point. You have bested me again.
  21. "You are going to find that many of the truth's we cling to greatly depend on our own point of view"
  22. I love screen accuracy but some things are just not practical. Painted handguards are fantastic looking as they are what was used in the movie. However, as our suits are going to be used more than the movie suits I doubt that they will have much paint left on them after a while so will look less screen accurate. Therefore the latex look handguards are better for trooping. Same goes with the painted helmets. The paint will never stick very well to the original green khaki plasic so after a while the lid is going to look horrible. I think SA is the way to go, epecially as Mathias pointed out when it costs no more and is no more difficult but just takes better reasearch but some things can't be exactly as seen on screen as they wouldn't hold up to what we use our armour for. I love stormtroopers!
  23. They are great little speakers with a good sound for their size. I want to try a little experiment. If it works it should be pretty cool.
