  1. Congratulations Olga. You look great
  2. What ever you do, do not cut that eye! It is known as the 'stye' and it is an important part of the trooper helmet. It was on the originals.
  3. Hi Kevin. I sent you some links. Great tips Mason.
  4. Happy birthday Vern. Hope you have a great day mate.
  5. Thanks Paul for your understanding
  6. Sorry about the spelling mistakes and lack of smiley's. I'm having trouble with the site and it won't let me edit my post.
  7. Hi fella's. First of all, thanks so much for all the help and advice. I am really very, very sorry to have posted this topic and caused any hassle or trouble. Billy, thanks for putting it all so well mate. I see just where you are coming from. I haven't done any troops yet so I am still very new to the rules and such. I in no way was going to try and speak for the 501st or FISD. If any one was to show any interest in the armour I was just going to sort of say 'If you love stormtroopers you should check out this site before buying any armour'. I in no way would ever try to represent the 501st in less I was trooping a 501st event. I know what you mean about how not to act in the armour. If anything I'll be a bit to the other way and think that I am a real stormtooper and be on my very best behavior for fear of being force choked . I really didn't mean to try and get above my station on this and in hindsight I should have just PM'd the staff to ask the question and not made a post. Once again I am truly sorry if I have caused any trouble. Maybe it's best if I leave the FISD advertizing and wait until I go on a 501st troop. Thanks for your time guys . PS. Billy, if you do hear of any spank me conventions please do let me know. I would love to see you shaking that groove thang.
  8. How do you mean mate, other guests?
  9. Thanks for all the thoughts and opinions fella's. Thank you very much Paul. I know what to do now. : )
  10. I tried to copy this chassis build but mine came out no where near as good. That man has real skill.
  11. I had another thought (tell me if it's not a good one) at Comicon there were three people that played stormtroopers in the Star Wars films. Would it be good to try to get them to join FISD or is that just silly? I only ask because I found it very interesting talking to them about armour. They probably found me less interesting
  12. I have just fineshed one myself. Check out this site. It's where I got all my parts from. http://www.blast-tech.com/products_lensesBoards.asp
  13. Thanks Tom. I'm hoping it will be as good as Comicon was in July. Thanks for the advice Matt. I'll check it out. Not sure how this sort of thing works.
  14. In October I will be going to the entertainment and media show in London. I'm not sure how it works when spreading the FISD word or even if I am allowed to as I am not staff. I will be going in my armour but not as part of the 501st as I don't think they will be attending. I just thought I could hand out some flyers or some such to try and recrute some new members. Would this be OK?
  15. Thanks so much for making me trooper of the month. That means so much.
  16. Thanks for the help fellas. I'll stick with the Aker mic
  17. Thanks Kevin. I think I will remove the wire head part from the mic and fix the mic inside the helmet with some clips.
  18. Hi everyone. I have finally got around to fitting my Aker and Icomm system. Should I use the mic that comes with the Aker or get another type that I am sure I have seen on here. I have searched and searched the forum but can't find it anywhere. Fro memory it's a square plastic box mic that seems to fit behind the voice box of the helmet. Just wondering if this is better to use for a more secure fitting. Many thanks for any help, Rob.
  19. Not too sure from the pic Grant but those look a bit round if you know what I mean (like a tube). I think the elastic used was flat. This is the stuff I used. By bsac15 at 2011-07-08
  20. Hi Grant. In the spirit of helping out a new trooper I would like to offer you my SDS E11. I have made some considerable upgrades on it including a D-ring, More accurate scratch built front site and a pretty decent weathering job. I have never trooped with it and only had it on display. The only bad side is that I removed the t-tracks for my scratch built but t-tracks are easy to buy so you could replace them no problem. I can give you enough rubber tracks to do the job if you like although the originals were plastic. You can have the blaster for free if you would like it. Just for the record, I agree with everything that has been said here about SDS.
  21. Stunning work Mason. I can't believe how fast you done this. Looks amazing! Beautiful dog by the way.
  22. 17" of pure muscle!
