They are the brass paper fasteners that you can get. I primed and painted them with automotive paint. -

OH..............MY.................GOD! I can't believe it. Times have been really crappy lately so you have no idea what this means to me. I know it's all in good fun but this is the first thing that has made me feel good in so long. I can't thank you all enough -

Thank you again everyone. All you're comments have put a real smile on my face, they really have. I've got someone coming over on the weekend to help me get suited up and take some pics for me so I'll post them asap. I see what you mean Mathias. I think I can sort that out with a bit of strap tweaking. Thanks again guys for the kind words but in reality, the suit would look rubbish if the information and help was not available here. So for enabling me to make it look this good I thank you all.

Thanks Mason. Dude, your'e like my own personel Yoda. Always there to explain things to me.

Hi folks. Can anyone tell me where I need to look to buy coins, patches and such from FISD. Do new parts of the site become visable once I have been granted 501st access? I got my TK number today and have already ordered a few personalized bits from Mike and I really want to get a good FISD display going to show my loyalty.
-
Thanks for the info Mason. I'm just very exited and being a bit impatiant. I don't think I have my TK number yet. Well I haven't seen it written anywhere. I took all my pics last night for my EIB application. If I get that then I will go for Centurian. I could'nt have ever got this far without all the help from FISD. Especialy you Mason. Like Max said about Jonathan Hart "He's quite a guy"
-
Thanks Juan. I don't seem to be on there yet but I was only cleared this morning so maybe it takes a while. When yo go on that thread above and click on a members link to their 501st profile there is a fancy page with all the details of that member. Do I get one of those automaticly or do I have to set that up myself? I'm a bit stuck.
-
Good morning everyone. Just got word that I have been cleared. I am now a member of the 501st. Do I have to do anything here to gain access to parts of this forum? If not, can I make a request for EIB straight away?

Panda has helped me so many times with his fantastic tutorials. I wish to offer my hand in marriage to him.

SWEEEEEEEET. Thanks so much my fellow troopers. It means so much coming from real experts such as yourselves. Can't believe I missed the undersuit riding over the shoulder bell. I took twelve pics and that's the only one it's doing it in. Typical! I had to shim the AB sides so there is actualy two seams but I fitted them very tight to the armour so they don't show too bad. Those walls really are a disgrace. The rest of my house is'nt like that, honest . Thanks again guys, I really appreciate the kind words.
-
Congratulations and well done Ricky.
-
Ahhhh got ya. Thanks Mason. When it said side gap I thought it meant even with a shim. I should be O.K then. I used 1mm ABS. Thanks for your continued help. Rob.
-
Hi everyone. I had to add a one inch shim to each side of my AB plate on my AP kit. Does this mean I can't be accepted for EIB or Centurion? I added rivets to the knee plate before the centurion level started but thought I could order a new leg and knee plate for when I apply. I believe everything else on my armour would be a pass just not sure about the side shims. Many thanks Rob.
