also i am still on the fence with the boxes for the TKC also, i am going to compare the game files with a white trooper to be certain. but the ear detail is nailed

i think if you painted over the existing vertical black stripe with gray,and run one horizontal stripe through the center of the ear, it would match the screenshots more closely

i spent most of the time waiting for my armor studying the screencaps and eib/build threads. for me anyway, getting to know the stormtrooper design as a whole is one of the most important parts of a build, and to me is just as important as the trimming sanding and nuts and bolts of the build it made the big brown box of plastic much less intimidating, and knowing where most everything is supposed to go from the start was a plus

idk lol this troopers shoulder looks like its falling off speaking of shoulders they appear to be painted black with blue over them

i know... also the small rivets to the left of the TD????

ICN= the drop boxes appear almost black to dark gray depending on the IN GAME lighting TKC= only appears black when moving but can appear light when not moving also a shot of the TD. i think the little details were just not important enough to add (it is on his butt ) detonator texture file also this image shows gray (but i dont know its origin) anbody know where this comes from?? i haven't come across it the ps3/PC versions of the game

i think you may be correct as far as the commander is concerned after tweaking from several angles it can appear white at times and is different from the incinerators (witch can never turn white at any angle) ill post up some screens showing the differences..

not sure yet on the ab buttons either. but it is a nice touch if you want to go the extra mile little mods like the ear markings and drop boxes are pretty easy to accomplish. but adding an extra ab button would be a bit tricky.. also remember that the armor is ROTJ based so 4 ab buttons would be fine. also all of the game stormtroopers models have the 5 buttons

here are the ear details look here for more -------- as far as needed for EIB, not at this point anyway, the details were just noticed yesterday while taking screenshots but like Blaine stated the ears are a nice touch that sets the helmet apart. either way both details are pretty quick fixes i assume the ears are different too because of rank? look at the difference between incinerator and commander ears. it looks like the black rank stripe goes through the center of the bumps horizontally...

shading was my first thought as well.. but white tk's in the game have white boxes and it is like that in the texture files as well

not sure on the ears yet (just noticed that today lol) but for the boxes i used the same as the TD but in some versions of the game they are darker so i dont think it is critical --------------- also note that the sides and backs are white

like i said it is a detail i had not noticed until taking the higher res screenshots.. i overlooked it thinking it was a shadow glitch.. but it is on the texture file and it is also on both the PC and PS3 versions of the game

all the teeth are cut out (ANH stunt style) it is hard to see as it is so small also the black pattern on the ears is visable on bothe the PC and ps3 versions of the game.. so it is definitely not a glitch (i had to double check that) it is a commander specific detail i hadn't noticed before

at first i thought the black on the ears was a glitch.. but it is like that on the skin files and it is completely different from the ICN and other TFU stormtroopers in that detail..

im putting together a collection of screenshots now that i am close to painting.. i am trying to get a good shot of the blaster details as well... hope these are helpfull more to come soon

i agree, mainly because it is clearly shown on screen like you stated Eric. but it is backed up by several non film references as well. if Mr no stripes had reference other than the film, like in the EU if having no stripes had a special designation perhahps it might be acceptable.

just study the game. take your time.. and most of all have fun!!! i did a ICN as my first build and know it can be a bit of work but it was well worth it,the ICN and TKC are identical minus the paint job and weapon -

as Sean stated above here is a link to the ROTJ CRL ----------- if you follow it for the armor you will be golden ANH helmet and hand plates ext.. per the commander CRL, also where the holster is optional, it is not in the game version. just remember the gray drop boxes the blaster appears to be ROTJ/ESB (no counter like ANH) and is wielded with the stock extended (not required) A light saber based off of the video game reference may be carried in stead of an E-11. also a An SE-14R are all acceptable also this texture file shows the paint/weathering details very clearly (yes its a bit wonky to look at) i am looking forward to following this build!!! -

i was simply pointing out that it has references as being a standard piece of equipment for stormtroopers outside of the film canon. as in the RPG and various other sources and that outside of the film/prop community (EU) there is no stunt/hero armor. just stormtroopers
