  1. phew! thanks for the replies. i think i shall be unwatching this one then!
  2. Hey, I know the golden rule is 99.9% of ebay armour is recasts etc. Some of you are keen eagle eyed and could tell from the pics (i cant :|) Is this something i could work with for a 501st approved suit. ( i wanna build one) -------------- I already messed up buying an SDS suit a while ago. I dont wanna do it again! thanks
  3. Thanks for the replies guys, some things to think about, I think ill go ahead with the Blacking of the inside of my bucket, I tried a little of the lacquer on some spare cuts of ABS i had, it deffo shines up but i dont want my armour to fall and shatter over time!! Ill look into plastic polishes in the future! Now to just take this helmet apart without buggering it up!
  4. Hey all, Im looking to black the interior of my helmet (yes i know its not canon etc,) I just think it looks cheap as hell inside out of the box, Ive already read some of the threads about painting helmets etc and ive got myself some truck bed liner spray, Ive tested it on a bit of plastic and the finish is nice, Anyone with experience of this could tell me/advise me: 1, does the paint affect adhesion for things like velcro pads etc? (the finish is slightly textured) 2, does blacking the interior change the colour of the helmet on the outside? The other thing, my armour is made from Satin finish ABS (its not as shiny as the acrylic capped abs, and not as expensive!!) Not that its an issue but i thought whilst ive got it all in bits, I have some universal clear Lacquer that i had for my motorbike, was thinking of spraying that on, but im not sure if it will go too shiny! just a thought at the mo, armour looks good as it is. Anyone had any experience with this sorta thing? Sorry for the question bombardment!!!
  5. I see. I was just curious as most I've seen are the shiny plate. Mine is but not as Shiny. When I first decided to buy a storm trooper I didn't realise there were so many varients of storm trooper. Eg the stunt anh and the esb troopers! I think I'll have a trawl through this forum. I'm assuming there's a resource thread where I can source stuff to mod this suit etc.

  7. Hey, I recently purchased a set of Battle spec armour from Sheperton Studios. Had no intention of wearing it, just to look cool in my games room, Then i found out about this place... it all changed! just the one question really... (for now) The battle spec is made from Satin finish ABS where as the original (and more expensive) is made from Acrylic Capped ABS, Can the Battlespec be used for EIB or an i out of the game before i start? I can post pics later to show what i mean Cheers Paul
