  2. Bell and bicep do not connect when built screen accurately. At the most they might hang from the bell cross elastic using hooks.
  3. If you didn't payed a small fortune for your MR helmet it's almost certainly a "Collectors Edition".
  4. And now I'm blushing. Good work Eric! Joking aside, I'm just bad at taking credit. It's not something I'm looking for. But I am however honoured to to have you as an internet friend as well, and I'm happy that you're seeing things from both sides now. Aloha, Mathias
  5. I'm up in a couple of thousands and am still learning.
  6. Yes, he's still making armour.
  7. milliput is usually sold in hobby stores. Btw, the same "wet finger" technique works with abs-paste.
  8. It doesn't matter "in the grand scheme of things". Only to you guys if you choose to care about what your number is. Personally I have no idea what my EIB number is. But it is supposed to be individual and I tend to miss what the previous number was (I do this by glancing in this forum at the other threads) since the threads are not in numerical order. I have fixed it now though, and I'm glad that people point this out.
  9. Of course you can't have any holes in your armour and still qualify as "good".
  10. If your armour gets as much attention as your helmet you'll be just fine.
  11. Looking really nice. The only two things I notice are the lines in the tears are a little too "sharp" IE 90 degree corners, as if they were a printed decal. Secondly, the left ear, where the black line circles the bumps. Even if the plastic on the ear is soft and the shape is loosely defined, I would not have let the paint follow the same loose form. I'd kept it square-shaped like on the right ear where the box-shape is better defined. Just my thoughts on details that matter to few people. You should be proud and happy of your helmet no matter what I think. PS, don't forget to paint the last triangles that makes the frown really taper out.
  12. I don't think there's much problem with the shoulder bell strap. And if so, only by a little. What I do think is that the forearms and bicep could be trimmed slimmer. The holster seeming unusually long is just due to her/your height I think. Nothing that stops you from EIB, just some pointers for further improvements, should you choose to follow them. Good work trooper!
  13. Yes. Ideally you should use a ROTJ style armour with an ANH style helmet.
  14. Make them from thinner aluminium. But you got the shape right.
  15. Trim the left part until you have the girth that fits you snuggly and then glue the halves together. Quite easy to do, but don't be afraid to keep asking if you run into any obstacles.
  16. Trim first, glue second. You probably need to do once side at the time.
  17. Wooo! If I may ask, could you please add the swoop to the left shoulder bell as well?
  18. That is correct.
  19. Any helmet that is "ANH Stunt" can be made to a TKC helmet.
  20. Not without the mods required to be done to any eFX/MRCE helmet. I suggest you get a regular helmet kit to build and then paint it yourself. The result will likely be better.
  21. Yes, that's the right paint. http://www.humbrol.com/paints/enamel-paints/aa0059-5-dark-admiral-grey-14ml-gloss-enamel-tinlet/
  22. Sorry to tell you but you have your tube stripes on backwards (which I see now you discovered on your own). They are, as well as all the painted stripes on your helmet a little "heavy". I know it's hard to paint by hand. I've done it myself without perfect results, but you should consider re-doing those. you have the right technique, just use a smaller brush! The thigh cover strip should not extend on top and over the ridge in the bottom of the thigh. And loose the pauldron. Also, your blaster scope is on backwards in some pictures! Stay sharp!

  24. About $1000 USD gets you a long way.
