  1. Looks good to me. Unless you plan on going hero in which the bib on that neckseal would be too small.
  2. Aren't you using E-6000? It's easy to take it apart and redo. And no, I won't hold it against you. It's just a tip for a better look. No, not really. You just need to hang in there.
  3. Looks like you kept the ledges that the cover strip sits on a little wide though. If you can, it's better to keep those the same width as the cover strip and trim for width of your arm on the back only. So if you have big arms you trim less on the back. You have the right technique though.
  4. Strap the chest with elastic to the ab plate, and strap the back with elastic to the kidney.
  5. Aside from that, he has riveted his shims on both sides of the torso, not just on the left. -------------
  6. He has rivets on both sides of the ab. He's also using pop rivets.
  7. The new Centurion requirements doesn't actually change anything regarding shims for the larger troopers. As long as it's nicely done, which has always been the goal. Nice to see you join in though Rob. It's always better with direct feedback.
  8. Yes, the white stuff, naturally.
  9. I suggest using that on some scrap plastic first. I would not use that on my armour without testing. Silicone caulk can at least easily be removed without damage.
  10. That's my idea yes. But I haven't seen it done so I can't guarantee it actually works.
  11. I'm asking a lot of questions. Rivets being one of them. And as I said before, there's really no reason to allow anything else when they are easy to get, cheap and and accurate. As such an advocate of accuracy as you and your garrison are, I'm more than a little surprised by your resistance.
  12. That's where the silicone caulk comes in, sloping the edges and making the shims blend in.
  13. I'm just thinking out loud on that last idea, but it makes sense in my head.
  14. I think a better method is to shim half the distance on either side of your armour moving the seam to the middle, like if you had an armour that fit.
  15. I'm well aware of the fact that I approved the centurion of that armour, but I'm not very happy with that shimming and would not recommend that for others to use as inspiration.
  16. I meant that no one has made a "perfect" RT-Mod build before.
  17. Ah, I didn't realise you meant the shims. Then I don't know really.
  18. Several times even before this was the new standard. But not with RT-Mod.
