  2. Here's the rubies http://www.starwarshelmets.com/rubies%20Stormtrooper%20Armor.htm
  3. Ah, excellent! Now I remember that thread. It seems we haven't gotten around to updating the CRL to remove the contradictions. I am however fairly certain that if you build you incinerator to Centurion levels you should be approved regardless of what the basic CRL says since Centurion is an addition on top of basic, and should not contradict. And should you not be, let me know and I'll explain to the GML.
  4. Hi Yes, all of the requirements passed voting. If you want to make an awesome incinerator I recommend a ROTJ style armour, like CFO (AP works too) and an ANH style helmet of your choice.
  5. No worries. Make sure your father also gets the same treatment.
  6. Shin, yes. But a little bit further up the side. 1-2/8" or so. Side of the chest, yes Side of the back, no Bottom of chest, yes Bottom of back, yes Side of ab and kidney, yes. Both sides. Just a little.
  7. No problem. I would also recommend a slightly smaller return edge on the chest and back (possibly kidney and butt as well, but I can't see). No only would it look better, but have less risk of cracks. There's also some excess plastic on the sides of the ab and kidney that kind of flares outwards. I recommend trimming that off too. Don't worry about it increasing the distance between ab and kidney, I find it within reasonable limits.
  8. And the drop box inside covers. I would also need a picture of the inside armour for the side split rivets. I would also recommend that you cut off the tapering on the knee plates as it's not supposed to taper out like yours. I also can't approve of those gloves. They are neither rubber nor silk gloves.
  9. MFX has been known to "upgrade" his moulds from time to time. Awesome work on weathering those blasters btw!
  10. Well, unlucky for you and your father, additional centurion requirements passed voting yesterday. The additions are the following: Side and crotch rivets must be split rivets. No brads. Head size: 8 mm. Must use movie correct assembly method, Cover strips for ANH & ESB, overlap for ROTJ. Ab plate button plates must be a 1-part pieces, no separate buttons. No FX armour. Thigh ammo belt must be attached to thigh with cap rivet or split rivet in the upper corner. Sniper knee plate must be correctly aligned with the ridges on the shin. Sniper knee plate must not have visible rivets. Boots must either be worn or not and match condition of armour. Do not mix battle worn boots with pristine armour or the reverse. Any battle wear must be light. No TD-style weathering. Drop boxes are vertically aligned with the end of the ammo belt without gap between belt and box. Drop boxes must have inner drop boxes. No flat covers. Thermal detonator belt clips must be positioned near the end caps (roughly 1/8" apart). No more than 1 black stripe on each ear (ANH). 2-3 stripes per ear (ESB & ROTJ). Require AM chest and back armour to be replaced with a screen accurate version. Require AM shoulder bells to be replaced with a screen accurate version. Remove the word ideally completely from existing wording.

  12. Those are screws, not split rivets.
  13. The left side rivets, inside the armour. So I can see that they really are split rivet. You might also want to change the cocking handle that appears to be a bit on the tall side, IE too long. But that's not a requirement, just a suggestion.
  14. Yeah I'm sitting down quite often at the longer troops. Not too bad.
  15. Just add a picture that shows it and you're done.
  16. Just look at what the other TKC builders have done. The costume consists of a ROTJ style armour with an ANH style helmet + paint, weathering and and some small additional details. So following a ROTJ build thread is not a bad idea as long as you take the minor alterations that make the TKC unique in consideration.
  17. In accordance with the new Centurion rules which passed voting yesterday I need to see if you have split rivets or brads in the side of the ab, but other than that I think you're all good.
  18. Personally I think it's a shadow of some sort. And since we have a picture of Luke's armour in our reference gallery I can tell you for certain that they did not cut his cod.
  19. I'm sure both methods were used, but at least we know this method was used for certain.
  20. But the black sticky stuff is correct for ESB. Isn't that what you're making?
  21. Armour is in my suitcase I use to and from troops, helmet on a shelf and blaster in a display cabinet.
