  1. Rom/FX is the best option, hands down. But you know, you get what you pay for.
  2. Also send Eric their FX helmets for due destruction and replacement.
  3. Personally I think the 2 snap method is overkill and actively detrimental as that removes any ability for your straps to swivel on the snap, which can cause all kinds of snags and bunching up of the strap when you're moving around. I guess the matter isn't so bad due to the very tiny forces involved, but it flawed thinking. People add the second snap for extra strength when they could be using higher quality snaps and and double up the ends of elastics where the snap sit instead.
  4. I'd say the kidney rivets line up pretty good with the ab rivets.
  5. The theory I've heard is just that the mould used for the plate was deteriorating during use.
  6. There' no guarantee you get the one you request either, so you're asked to submit up to 3 free numbers in case one or two gets taken by other newly approved members who were just before you in the queue.
  7. It's a promo thing, not made for the movie. Consider a toy from the late 70's.
  8. It should come with the helmet kit.
  9. They posted on facebook that they were about to ship a couple of them. I suggest you ask again.
  10. Israel used to have their own MG-34's after the war. I'm sure they're cool with it. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arms_shipments_from_Czechoslovakia_to_Israel_1947%E2%80%9349 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MG_34#Users
  11. I'm 5'10" and 120 lbs. I made TM work for me without much effort.
  12. Every DLT-19 will be €200 or more. It's an expensive and big prop. FWIW, RS Props will probably ship to you and just came out with some rubber DLT's that seem really nice.
  13. pugman was the nickname of the guy owning the LFL made prop blaster who then made casts of it.
  14. Again, always use liners with rubber gloves.
  15. If you wear glove liners (like you're supposed to) it's not that bad with the rubber gloves. I've done multi hour troops in summer heat without issues aside from sweaty liners.
  16. It's on the thick side for sure. But we don't have guidelines for that and if someone says it's not acceptable, then they're stupid. Consider an upgrade, but no need to stress about it. You'll find a good replacement sometime in the future.
  17. We should use your pictures in promo material
  18. I would move them accordingly. The shims become an extension of the armor, and should be treated as such.
  19. If you really study the original helmets you'll probably come to the same conclusion as others have which is that even humbrol 14 is a bit too glossy, and 15 is too dark and also glossy. if you're looking for accuracy, a flat blue like 25 would be my bet. But these are just my thoughts on the matter. Humbrol 14 is the standard to follow these days.
  20. Magni has the right idea.
  21. Yeah, those castings should not have gone out the door, let alone be sold.
  22. There is no hero armour. Only hero helmets.
  23. http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/image/895-chest-plate-02/ http://www.whitearmor.net/forum/gallery/image/3079-dsc02528jpg/
  24. We fix these around election time (February) for new members. They have no bearing other than cosmetics outside of elections when you need this to vote for DL.
