  1. nicely said
  2. You need to carve some chin off of TK Jay Leno there The rest of it looks great. Nice shape from the frown up.
  3. does that make you a bad person? Boys, saddle up the dewbacks, we need a rancor.
  4. Let's all hope that doesnt happen.
  5. V, IV, III, VI, II, then I. I even like the clone wars animated better than Episode I.
  6. *gasp* Try fileden its totally free and you see how many pics I post in supersize. That doesnt include the songs from my studio that I playon myspace and host on fileden.
  7. I would use the cutting wheel tip to cut those holes you'll get straighter lines. Make sure you do it on at low speed so that you are cutting instead of melting. If your cuts are successful, you may want to try one fan wired in reverse so that one fan blows and the other sucks. It would continuously cycle air thru the helmet. Maybe wanna try this on the tear traps instead that way it would be working the air that accumulates in your face mask. Or better yet one on a rear trap sucking in and an exhaust fan on the opposite tear trap, that would ventilate the whole helmet.
  8. I now have a vac pump. I gotta get away from blasters long enuff to start building the table. It pulls 18" right now but If I disassemble and clean it, it should pull 27" acoording to the web site.
  9. PM sent
  10. Biggest thing I will pull will be on 2 ft x 4 ft sheeting. Basically just gonna use it to pull armor. Here's One--------------- Here's the other-------------------- The ML400 is the one that pulls to 18 inches. Its supposed to pull to 27 inches. I'll prolly take it apart and soak the guts in solvents and try to get that one back up to snuff. Its soiled pretty bad from use in a factory. Some of the venturies inside are probably clogged up with dried chemicals. The L100 is going somewhere special.
  11. I have recently gotten 2 vacuum pumps. I need to know if they will pull ABS? Piab Venturi pumps. One will pull a 1000 gallon tank to 18 inches of mercury in about 5 minutes the other will pull to 25 inches but I dont know the cfm on it. It moves close to the same amount of air as the 18 incher. I'm pretty sure that both will do the job, just wanted to check. I figure with the amount of air these things move I shouldnt even need a tank. Just let the pump maintain the vacuum on the mold till it cools. I'm pretty sure I can feed the pump with a 33 gallon air compressor. Last night I hooked a 10 gallon air pig without a compressor to the 25 incher and managed to maintain 15 inches for over a minute on the vacuum pump. Ive been over at tk560.com all night. DrCrush is awesome.
  12. When I first started looking into voice amplification I was dead set on getting a static burst module. As I got in deeper, I became of the mindset that generating the static burst by clicking and blowing into the mic was all part of the act and with practice would be much more versatile and convincing than the same monotonous burst punctuation provided by modules, but hey thats just my 2 Abe Lincolns.
  13. Im currently working on a system made from the Wal Mart voice changer toy. Awaiting Super trooper speakers for in helmet testing.
  14. That looks truly fantastic!
  15. Yeah but it would be nice for screen accurate costumer mentality to really pay off.
  16. Thats a wise move anyway....I would be floored if Armor FX managed to find its way onto the set.
  17. yeah but the 501st comes with its own costumes...counter point baby! yeah! Have ABS will travel
  18. Playing a stormtrooper would be about as hard as playing "crewman #5" qualifying factor: How well does he fall down and play dead on cue? I really hope stormies dont fall victim to computer generation. Its was abhorrent enuff that they changed the Jabba Palace scene's Max Rebo band in the Special Editions. The new song really sucks. ok back on tarkget...C'mon Georgie give us a shot.
  19. A thought just occured to me, the new live action TV series is gonna take place between ep3 and ep4. Lucas is gonna need an occasional stormie for his show. How cool would it be to be able to get involved in that and actually play a stormie in the new series. I mean sure all you would be is an extra and no one would see your face but .... yes how cool would that be. Surely Lucas is gonna use his boys in the 501st for his TV series. It would be totally unfair to do otherwise.
  20. Ive been working on my scope today too. cheers!
  21. Thats still awful thin.
  22. Im using 1/16" steel. I like using it over aluminum for 2 reasons, Steel is stronger and weldable and Aluminum gets really hot really quick. I burned the crap out of my fingers when I was making my front sight block (its made out of aluminum) 26 guage? Thats like razor blade thin isn't? 1/64" When I cut that stuff I use metal shears.
  23. Yeah the metal work really slows you down. Ive got about 5 hours put into my magazine and housing, prolly another 5 in the stock. The little springy mechanizm under the buttcap took a couple hours to make it functional. Yeah, all in all, the metal work's a slow process. What kind of metal are you using?
  24. I had to take it in 3 separate shots and photoshop them together. But the effect survived
