I took it over to my dads house tonight to show him and my stepmom let my have a couple of stocking suffers early. She had gotten me the 4 clamps used to hold the helmet together. So the next thing I know we had clamped it all together and put the rivits in. My dad and stepmom are awesome. So here's some progress pics. *Deep breath* now its time to fit the ears. It makes a good shrine topper flanked by my Gibson and Shecter.

I plan to go 2 piece. The top I will try to get here. I like the one that guy has with the Imperial Cog on the breast and built in neck seal.

Lots of Troopers go the TE2 FX "Lite" combo. Dannychoo from Tokyo put a set like that together and posted pics on his weblog and I was sold on the combo from that moment. He's a little trigger happy with the rivit gun IMO tho. My answer is "C"

Today I used a dremel to cut out the eyes and teeth and then used a model filing kit to round everything nice and neat. I used scissors to cut off the excess material around the top and sides of the faceplate. I dont know how common this is but on both back edges of my side tubes the styrene had pinched up during the molding process. I dremeld those pinches off and it left a slice about an inch deep into the mask. I reenforced the slices with some of the styrene that I cad cut from the excess on the top of the mask. I used a 2 part clear epoxy to attach the reenforcements onto the creases from inside the faceplate and cleaned it up on the outside with the glaze spot putty. The last pic shows the materials I used tonight with the exception of the spot glaze putty. It turned out just like I wanted. I cant quit picking it up out of the box to admire it. Next comes the ears. The pictures will zoom in very large so that you can see the details.

Im going ANH with it. I like what was done in the tutorial. Im going for the Dave M and Brian R look. Plus I think grey teeth look better than black frowns. Well I'm off to gouge out eyes and punchout teeth. Oh this one definitely mine Guns is excellent at personalizing each package. TE2 4 Life baby!

Tomorrow I'll start the eyes and teeth....I fear the ear.... Dude thanks again for your wonderful tutorial.

Used the spot putty glaze and 400 grit sand paper today to fix the brow chips.

the best part is as you can see from the last pic, its wearable right out of the box! The only reason stormtroopers had faceplates was to hide the cheezy grin that is induced when the helmet goes on your head.

Oh boy oh boy oh boy! It came today! Building pics coming soon, in the meantime here's what all I got today! Excellent shipping and an awesome seller. The macadamia nuts were delicious!

Basically you just host a game call it something like FISD clan and password it. Only those from the forum will know the password and we'll all be killing familiar faces and not have to worry about getting smoked by a 12 year old singaporean. I am almost positive that only like platforms can join up so xbox vs PC wouldnt work.

I wouldnt know what to do about that. I got SW best of PC and it came with EAW, KOTOR, BF I, RC and DF2 I think (its the first person shooter with Kyle Katarn) Great package for the price. Maybe try to uninstall then re-install?

I go by Smitty on BF I. I was thinking maybe setting up a password server and just post the password in here. It would be like a little FISD thing or something

Anyone here ever online game with Empire at War, Battlefront I or Republic Commando? I have those 3 and I grow weary of decimating the computer AI and getting destroyed by the hard core gamers that you usually have online. Looking for people more my speed

I dont believe the AP bells are swooped. Not sure about the TE2 armor (Guns any input?) TM bells maybe?
-
I hate to say it again but, man that is one ugly helmet.
-
Yeah its what I originally thought. Anyone seen FX shoulder bells swapped out with bells from another kit like AP or TE or something of that nature?
-
So are these pics of FX armor with swapped out shoulder bells from a ANH suit or modified FX shoulder bells?

So there are pre-existing dimples in the recessed chin section from the originals screwholes? so that means you dont have to worry about making sure you drill into the faceplate in the right spot. Am I reading you right on this? Also what is the official definition of "wonky"? so far as I can tell it has something to do with mimicking the asymmetricalness nature of the screen used helmets. Once again, great looking helmet and excellent tutorial.

I use gmail (googlemail) and my membership confirmation was intercepted by the spam snagger as well. Took me 3 days to figure it out. No problems since. My PM notifications navigate my email server just fine.

Oasis Avenged Sevenfold Iron Maiden Ozzy Slipknot Staind Soundgarden Tool George Clinton L7 Old Skool Pumpkins Ice Cube UGK 8Ball Sountrack to a Beating ....really I could go on for hours. I sorely miss the Buzz out of Atlanta and FM99 out of Virginia Beach. I made the mistake of moving to Alabama, home of Southern Rock and Country Music. Last minute add....30 seconds to Mars

Well I my goal is to strive to be what Lucas had intended rather than screen accurate. For example a near screen accurate helmet that has been dressed up a bit with just a pinch more symmetricalness (is that even a word) is ideal for me. I wanna look good at all angles and I would never wear a bicep backwards...unless alcohol was involved then all bets are off.

That thing is looking dead sexy!!! I get to finally pay Guns for mine tomorrow! Get that shipping container ready my man!!!...no wait...its after midnight...its TODAY....sorry...I'm a little pumped about this.
