  5. i met Chris Parsons today, and he had alot to say about ESB and Rotj. When i found out that he was a stormtrooper i told him about this site and that alot of people might have some questions, he said if any of you come up with some questions ill ask him and report back. He was in ESB as K3po, 4LOM, TK and a TS (the gunner on the e-web!!!). when i asked him about the TK helmet, he said it had bubble lenses (which i know as true because of the picture of him in the armor with the bubble lenses) and that they were a greenish color!!! anyway please come up with some questions he was also stand in for C3po in ROTJ, one of the many scenes where it was him was the floating chair in the ewok village. i will be leaving to see him at 12-1 pm Central standard time US
  6. hello, i am having a horrible time trying to paint the vocoder on my AP, it never looks right to me and so i keep removing the paint and trying again, i am afraid that i am going to damage my bucket with all the paint thinner. I was wondering if someone had made a stencil? Thanks for the help Thomas
  7. How old were you? 11 What year? 1997 (i know) What movie theater (if you can remember)? Cinemark What city? Mckinney, Texas Any other interesting info surrounding your first "experience?" This is going to be long: I was very much a momma's boy, and my mother hated space movies, so being a young impressionable mind i hated space movies by proxy. Then in 1997 Star Wars SE was rereleased in theaters, which i had no interest in seeing, until the commercial that stated something like "this is a once in a lifetime event everybody must see" or something..... I had to see this historical, ground breaking film. I begged my mother to take me, being the best mother in the world, she agreed with no complaint. while my mother was getting ready, i was iching a spot on my hand that i assumed was a bug bite. Now to the movie, unlike alot of people i wasnt hooked at the star destroyer, no it was the start of the crawl, seeing STAR WARS as big as anything i have ever seen made my heart start pounding with excitement. For the rest of the movie i was in AWE!!! THE STORMTROOPERS, THE LIGHTSABER, VADER, EVERYTHING!!!!!!! I wanted more!!!! luckily I was smart enough not to go and rent the other 2 (not like it would have been possible i dont think they were in any blockbuster for at least until the SE came out on VHS) as i wanted the same first time experience with them that i had with the first. Later that weekend, I realized that that bug bite wasnt a bug bite at all, but the chicken pox!! So for the next weeks i took many abaths with my newly aquired Star Wars toys, and the love was born. Unfortunatly my mother had never had the chicken pox, and it hit her hard. Love you Mom!
  8. I too have noticed the color differences, and wondered what was better. Also if you look at a promo pic of luke his belt is not only dirty (after trash compactor) but it is frayed too is that also acceptable?
  9. i actually like the changes (in concept) it really tie the prequels and the originals together. I think it is also cool that Lucas released the ORIGINAL originals on dvd for all the fans who grew up and loved the unspecial editions.
  10. IMHO eveything would need to replace, the only thing i think would be usable would be the lower arms, and maybe the back and kidney plates... everything else would need to be scraped...... unless your going for ROTJ, which you will get a premolded upside down ab buttons. I think one of the worse things is that the trim around the armor and the seams are part of the mold
  11. what i am worried about if this is real..... will LFL crack down on the dealers like AP, GINO, or TE2??
  12. i saw this at the RPF and thought i would share link to rpf topic: http://therpf.com/showthread.php?t=39385 the blog that is in there incase you dont want to go to the rpf:
  13. im no vet, but i too wear a size 10.5 and i bought a pair of Caboots 10.5 and they were a little big and uncomfortable, but i went to walmart and bought some insoles (something about pillows.... dr. sholes pillow something around $2 cheapest pair) put them in didnt have to trim them or anything and they were amazing, the most comfortable shoes i have worn. Too bad i cant wear them everywhere. of coarse i might have small skinny feet and thats why the shoes were big i dont know but i recommend the pillow insert at walmart.
  14. smitty, will the bondo route work for ABS??? i have an AP lid and i dont know if the bondo will be as shinny and slick
  15. looks great.... i only hope i look as good in my AP.... DUN DUN DUUUUN FIRST QUESTION!!!!!!!! where exactly did you cut to on you inner bicept on the bottom..... my peices arent marked and same question for the chest piece
  16. i play xbox 360 COD4 and am about to start playing galaxies again
  17. yea i didnt think it was going to happen, he told me that it just wasnt right: problems with the material, it cost more money than it was worth. I personally dont think the price for the standard kit is all that bad...... no im not rich, i bought mine on a office assistant pay. but it is only a couple hundred more than the FX i was quoted. AP is a top notch guy.
  18. well i have been putting unused dryer sheets inside (2 in each shoe) and it is helping, not nearly as bad as when i first opened the box. For 2 days after i opened the box i had a horrible headache. even worse than that, was i put them i my star wars room around that night, and 5 hours later i took them out and it still smell after weeks, only in there for 5 hours!!!
  19. got my boots!!! they are awesome and they smell horrible!!! Thanks guys for all your help
  20. i have an AP and i love it!!! one of the most screen accurate. If your in UK talk to Troopmaster his is awesome, all personal preference though. like i said before i love my AP, but keep in mind if you go for screen acurate you are going to be looking at armor that fit people 5'11 and skinny, but somepoeple have an AP and are 6'6 (moded i suppose). no real one answer.
  21. when is his next run? By the way does he sell spare parts i never could get an answer? there is this link in the email (that he sent you talking about his armor and prices) showing what a sandie looks like..... name's ross email him. plus you might want to try MEPD thats where i would go.
