  1. thanks, i think ill try that. I also noticed that the bottom holes on the helmet arnt actually lined up like on the other side, so the "ridge" part has to bend to fit....... which i dont know for sure but i think if i drill new holes then it wont have to bend and will fit alot more snug correct me if im wrong
  2. i trimmed my ear and attached it, and i have major space on front and back, if i move the it and drill new holes then it fits better, or so it seems, i really dont want to drill new holes and find out it doesnt work. Has anyone had this problem with the AP helmet and if so how did you fix it.
  3. as soon as i get my card back (eaten by ATM) i will send a 20 your way
  4. i dont know of anyone who doesnt know that movie, and it was the entire orginal trilogy. if you want to buy it just go to walmart.com you can buy it there.... or go to blockbuster.... by the way try searching for it without the space.... it actually called Spaceballs
  5. as soon as i get my armor done, and get approval, i would love to have both patches on my jacket and my backpack
  6. i was wondering about the back of the thermal detonator, how accurate does the back (as in the part that touches the kidney plate) have to look. I have an AP kit and the vaccum formed back that i see pics of in other threads dosent come with my armor....... is this a problem all mine appears to be is a tube with endcaps on the sides and the control panel on the front. Any thoughts???
  7. the instructions for my AP armor said to use testors grey 1138 (im not kidding 1138!) i have it, but i havent used it yet.... i will tonight and i will post how it looks. if you want to check it out i got it at hobby lobby for like $1 or close a small 1.4 mL
  8. THATS AN AWESOME POINT!!!! i think i will sand alittle but not as much as i was going to thats for that.
  9. yea i have an AP armor and i cant put it on straight foward and i am kinda jealous of fx helmets who can put it on normal, and i have to twist
  10. i am finishing up my bucket and i dont know how to put the decals..... i heard of using windex.... but im not sure i really heard the whole process. Also i am thinking about sanding the bottom of the helmet to be able to put it on without screwing it on any thoughts?????
  11. actually no the AP kit has the buttons seperate it is a default TD
  12. I am just about done trimming my AP armor, and i have to paint the ab buttons and i was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to do this please let me know Thanks
  13. mine looked the same way and i got mine Oct 3. you think i should replace it i am just about done trimming?
  14. please take care of yourselfs.
  15. i just want to mention i have a full set of AP amor and I love it and im not even done (or close to being done) trimming it. the only problem is that nobody in texas has one or has ever seen one in person, so trimming is very, very slow. I also cannot speak more highly of AP, he was a great dealer and someone i will definatly recommend to everybody, I had a problem with my instructions, and couldnt see where to cut the ear, and even though it had been about 3 weeks since i had recieved it and 5 weeks from paying him, i told him of my delimma, not only did he respond he send close up pics of the helmet with labels where to cut and everything. It was very refreshing seeing such a customer satisfaction geared company in this only want you money walmart driven world. when i get it completed i will post pics
  16. i was in my garage working on my helmet, and since it is mesquito season i was wearing OFF! ACTIVE ( orange can) and as i was working i noticed that the ABS shavings had collected where my arms were, and upon wiping them off i noticed it had becom rough instead of being glossy. I urgently used windex and it helped alot but when a light shines on it you can see the remainting rough patch!!!!!! IF ANYONE KNOWS HOW TO REPAIR THIS WITH SOME POLIsH OR WHATEVER PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!

Someone told me that he was 6'3 and it fit fine (sorry i dont remember who offhand) was that due to modification? Also has anyone taken a dremmel or sandpaper to their AP helmets to get rid of the process of twisting the helmet on? And finally how do i delete old posts of the same question that i posted?
  19. cool thanks for the advice, i actually put the helmet together with screws first (my instructions said to drill holes then put together). when i put the helmet together there a gaps on the sides where they overlap will the ears cover/ close this gap i am trying to put pics but it wont let me
