  1. im not married but my girlfriend is ok about it, my family on the other hand isnt so cool. I think the trick would be to show her how cool whatever you buy is then you tell her how much you spent, i think the first reaction will overcome the price....... maybe not.
  2. i am trying to finish trimming everything out and i noticed that the button panel is a little bigger than the indention i am suppose to fit it in. can anyone please post a close up pic of theirs? Thanks Thomas
  3. if the pic is the same in my book from 1997, the blaster he is holding is an SE-14 (short range) the armor itself probably is a film used prop... the pic on the otherhand is a promotional pic, for reasons i dont kno the SE-14 was in the promos but not the movie (i wished it were because i love this gun). alot of the pics in the visual guide (my version) are promos, for example: the page of C3po, it tells all about him and what his parts are. there is a "cut-a-way" of his leg to show his inner wiring if you look closely you can see that someone went into photoshop and cut his leg and put in a new pic, there is a faint black line. The E11 on the other i dont know i think it is a screen used prop, i saw that E11 at the star wars exibit here in Ft. Worth a few months back. i liked it, and i think it looks funky because, and i think, that someone along the road maybe MR, maybe a fan thought they saw t tracks but it was actually whats in the pics, when i saw it, i thought it looks more like what they would have done, again thats what i think. i am currently building an E11 based on the pics i personally took and it is the same make as the visual dictionary maybe same one. and it could also be a tour blaster made to look real. i dont know
  4. looking good, i was going to buy the same batting helmet at walmart, just havent had the time........ as for space loss, yeah, i know how you feel my ap is snug as it is without the padding, not to mention that i have to add fans, speakers, mic, sound board, not to mention batteries and all the wiring , good thing i dont get claustraphobic easily.
  5. i dont think it would be wise to try to diassemble the tips IMHO. i love new tips from Stomper, and i will sacifice a small, and i mean small, inaccuracy to have a full contained helmet.
  6. just wondering since the tube stripes are pobably from a restoration, could this then mean that the tubes had no stripes and this is in fact......... Mr No Stripes????
  7. paul, i read the same thing on RPF and thought the same thing. very intersting, i wish there were pics of the grabbing process. All i can picture is a soup like line with men in tights waiting to grab their plastic
  8. while watching ANH a few days ago i noticed something on one of the stormtroopers that didnt register until the next day. There was a stormtrooper stunt if i remember correctly that shoulder bell did not have a swoop reversed or otherwise. When i get home i will watch the movie again to get a screen shot
  9. they didnt have anything as far as mesh the actors/extras wore a black sock like thing so you couldnt see through to their face.
  10. thanks guys, is there any difference other than the price to the ones on ebay? there is a note saying there might be cosmetic blemishes on the ebay site, but ther isnt a note on the caboots site........ is it worth the extra $20..... am i buying defects on ebay?????

  23. It seems that someone has tossed my instructions on how to cut and glue the abs strips..... if anyone has them can you scan or take pics of the instructions, please
  24. thanks, i think ill try that. I also noticed that the bottom holes on the helmet arnt actually lined up like on the other side, so the "ridge" part has to bend to fit....... which i dont know for sure but i think if i drill new holes then it wont have to bend and will fit alot more snug correct me if im wrong
