Hey Stephen, Your VT lid looks Sweet!! The neck trim turned out great too And like I said the original screen used lids were wonderful hand-sculpted creation and VERY WONKED (asymmetrical). I like your helmet and I think it gives the helmet character like the originals I have seen TK helmets that are symmetrical, and there is something about their look that just doesn't look right...

Does anyone have any updates on what celebs will be at Celebration V. I used to be a part of the SW fan club, but let my membership expire and don't get the inside scoops anymore.

Hey Julie, any updates on the Star Wars event that your were planning? Or, has it already happened? If so, hopefully you have some good pix/video to post.

I know this has nothing to do with Star Wars, but I had to post it anyway. I was at a local gun shop today and one of the guys that works there thought I would get a kick out of this YouTube video that he found. I am a little confused. You have primed the helmet, but havn't done the finish painting, right? If so, you should not have painted any detail work (the frown, ear trim, etc,), until after the final coat of white is sprayed and dried. Maybe, I read it wrong and correct me if so.

Hey Darrel, That iron double stick stuff holds for a little while. I have tried using it on a different project, but it will eventually pull away from what ever you are ironing it to. Have you thought about riveting the material to the dog collar? You can get the little rivet kits at Michaels,Walmart and about any craft store. Just a suggestion.

Hey Robert, I have felt your anguish, as probably a lot of people on here have, when it comes to people not understanding the Star Wars hobby. When you get that blank stare look from them and you can tell what is clicking off in their brain, "Isn't that a kids movie and how old are you?" At first in the hardware store or anywhere that I am looking for bits and pieces, I first started out giving some line about, I am on a scavenger hunt. Now, when they ask me that stupid question, I tell them I am making an WMD (weapon of mass destruction). That usually breaks the ice and makes them happier to help me find my hobby parts. The one thing that I am hearing that you can count on, is your wife. She bought you the Rubies suit because she loves you. She has helped you prep your suit and mod it throughout this whole adventure. You guys have each other and that's what truly matters. When you do join the 501st, you will find a group of people that have the same outlook, that will strenghten your love of this hobby. Don't forget, you've got us, your FISD family. I can't tell you or give you advice about pulling up roots and moving. That is a decision that is not held lightly. I think that would be something that you and your wife need to discuss at length. You never know what a new start may bring for the both of you. Just make sure that you and her are doing it for all the right reasons. You know the old saying "The grass is always greener" Explore the area you live in a little bit more. You might find enough people to start a 501st out post(to do a 501st outpost, it only takes one), if you look hard enough.. Stay strong, we are always here for you. Tom

Hey Jim, I understand that people that have not gotten their boots yet are going to look and learn from this or any post/poll. That is why I posted it, but with 8,206 FISD memebers, I would hope there would be a little more than 30 participating to help new memebers like you, to make a good choice

Hey Tyler, Have you tried contacting the R2 builders Club..I know that there are some of them that have build their own MSE-6. Somebody there should have the top greebles that you can get to finish your mouse droid or can give you the info on how to make them.
